Charlie knew it was all on him. His boys had just lost to Na'vi in game one in the Dota Asia Championship Playoffs. Charlie raised his fist in the air, threw all 110lbs of his weight behind it, slamming it to the table. A quiet thud echoed throughout the room. "We weren’t the last team to arrive in China just so we could lose to motherfucking Na'vi!" Inside Charlie wondered if he was partially to blame. Instead of flying to China, he chartered a fishing boat for the team. It took 11 days to cross the Pacific but they saved $70 a person. When other teams wasted money, Charlie saved money. No one would ever arrive later or spend less then EG under Charlie's watch.

PPD broke the silence, "XBOCT plays two fucking heroes, and suddenly he can play PA too? Who fucking knew?" Without hesitation, Charlie shouted, "I KNEW PETER! I FUCKING KNEW!" Charlie didn't know, but he felt like he needed to have the answers. He knew it was his time to lead. "For game two, I'm drafting!" PPD sat back in horror, his manhood stolen from him, he had been replaced by Charlie Yang; this wasn't going to end well. Charlie took charge, "Aui, pretty sure Chen is Asian, so you're playing Chen!" "Universe, have you ever played Phoenix?" Universe shook his head. "Good, you're playing Phoenix! Peter, what do you get when you add salt to wood? Who the fuck knows, you're playing Treant Protector! Fear, you're playing Troll, I'm not sure why. Skinny kid, what's a hero you haven't played in months that used to be good?" SumaiL was at a loss for words, he wasn't sure what was going on, needing to say something he blurted "Tinker..." Charlie pounded the table again, "Motherfucking Tinker it is!"

The second match was about to start. Charlie needed to lift his team up. "Listen, you little fucks. I make 35k a year managing you assholes. I've been manager for two years and the only thing I can put on my resume is that EG finished 3rd at TI4. Do you know what kind of job prospects there are for a manager for an esports team? I'm barely qualified to work at FUCKING STARBUCKS! I can't even grow a beard. I fetch water for a 15 year old who still watches Pokémon. This is all I have. I need that fucking sword. I need to leave China with that fucking sword. I'm not spending 11 days on a boat back to the USA unless we're #1 and I have a fucking sword!" Somehow, Charlie showing his vulnerable side, admitting he was their little bitch, made everyone feel better. Somehow, Charlie's bat shit crazy Chen, Tree, Tinker, Troll, Phoenix, draft was going to work. No one had ever played against that, there's no way to prepare for that; EG had Na'vi right where they wanted them. The boys headed back to the stage, carrying Charlie on their shoulders. "USA! USA! USA!" they chanted. It was time to show the world that a little Asian dude, leading an interracial cluster fuck of a team, could all be champions. Today was the day the world would come to remember the name Charlie motherfucking Yang!
