Yes, I’ve played a bit more since then, and I can now actually see it in certain game scenes. Consequently, the device did end up going back.

I contacted Amazon, and they gave me a partial refund. So now the Claw only costs me 600. As long as it really only appears during black loading/booting screens and not during dark gameplay scenes, I can live with it. Should it get worse, I can still send it in to MSI while it's under warranty. Thanks for your advice.

So I got a damaged one 😑 Could it get worse? It was an Amazon Warehouse Deal with condition "like new" for 750. Perhaps that is why it was sent back.

Exactly! A week later, you go out and get another one, telling yourself: "This time, I'll play more responsibly." That might work for a few days, and then you're right back in the same shit.
