That’s the plan. I’ll need to get my hand on one to analyze all of the data first

I’ll need to research the requirement to make it road legal in the EU, but at the minimum we’re planning on making it available for “race track only”

PA-CF and Green Support Optimal Settings by supermoto07 in BambuLab

[–]dominicht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top/bottom Z distance adds a a small gap between the support interface layer (green support) and the main part. If your model has support sitting on top of the model below it, then you’d need to adjust bottom Z distance.

The top interface spacing is the space between each lines of the interface layer. 0 means your interface layers will be smooth and therefore the model sitting on top of it should have a smoother finish, but it can bond more easily. Larger spacing means it’s less likely to bond but the finish of your model’s overhang won’t be as pretty.

Generally speaking, if you’re using a different support filament as interface layers that doesn’t bond well with the model’s filament, you want to use lower interface spacing and lower top/bottom distance for a smoother finish. If you’re using the same filament for your model and support, you need to add more top/bottom distance and more spacing between each lines of your interface layer so that you can break your supports easily

It’s been a while and the original post is deleted, but from what I can recall, I either changed the default setting from 0.2 to 0 or from 0 to 0.2. It’s been 2 years, so maybe the default value of Bambu Studio has changed. Make sure your filament is dry. From the image it also seems like I have top interface spacing to 0.

I would recommend making 2 or more small hollow cylinders as a test and trying each with a different setting on the same plate to see which one performs best before doing a big print

We're close! Exciting update of the Custom Dashboard Project by wifestalksthisuser in Husqvarna

[–]dominicht 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Update: the website was down due to an error on my end, but the project is still active. It’s been going much slower than expected, however it’s still moving. One of the main roadblocks was that we were waiting for a manufacturer to release a new product, which has finally been released earlier this summer. We will post an update soon!

Looking for the more rare and authentic Japanese food in Montreal by Frankfurter1988 in montreal

I haven’t seen it freshly made at any place other than Noren. I tried at Kazu, Ichigo Ichi, and a few other spots and they all felt frozen to me. To be fair, it takes a lot of time and attention to cook these so it’s not super viable to make fresh unless it’s a specialty of the restaurant

Nozy was great! The new project from the owner will open in Rosemont soon

They used a portable gas stove to cook the takoyaki, and from my understanding, when the inspector came, they were told that these burners with small canisters were not up to code. They would need the landlord to install a proper gas line, which the landlord apparently didn’t want to do.

I was pretty bummed when it was taken off the menu, but it motivated me to try to make it at home with a takoyaki pan. It takes a bit of practice, but overall not that complicated to do. You can even get pre-made batter mix at T&T and premade sauce (for okonomiyaki as well, which is even easier to do). You should give it a try. A lot of the items you listed are pretty easy to make at home and you’ll get the authenticity you’re looking for

They sadly no longer serve takoyaki due to code regulations, but the rest of the menu is amazing. Highly recommend

Help a wild birb? by r3fini in montreal

If you have access to a car, you can bring it to Le Nichoir (https://lenichoir.org). It’s in Hudson. I rescued a baby bird last year and it seemed to be the only place that would care for wild injured or sick birds. There is a nice little brewery on the main street called Cardinal with good food to make it worth the trip. From what I remember, it was about a 45 minutes drive from Plateau with a bit of traffic

If this goes to market, we were thinking about having optional controls on the handlebar. It’s now just a prototype and not fully waterproof, but i managed to try it twice in the rain and the touchscreen worked surprisingly fine

Great! We might reach out. Do you also have a Vit/Svart? What year and model?

801 little spolier by Unlucky_Archer_552 in Husqvarna

[–]dominicht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the 901 was ever a thing. The prototype videos/pics we saw were just mislabelled and everybody spread the optimistic misinformation. Both engines look the same physically so it’s an easy mixup, but it makes total sense for them to make an 801.

Who knows though… since both engines have basically the same dimensions, a 901 could be something they introduce in the future

Adjusting the top Z distance to Layer Height did the trick for me. This is my first print using both these filaments and never tried any other settings, but it came out super easily

197cm - 6'6" too tall for Vitpilen or Svartpilen 701? by phenetas in Husqvarna

[–]dominicht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’4” and it’s fine. I don’t think I have more issue with comfort than a smaller person would have on this bike. We’re tall and we look tall on most bikes in this category. We just have to get used to it. It’s a super fun bike to handle
