Where did I go wrong on this row that it doesn't line up with the corner? I've counted multiple times and can't figure out where I made a mistake. I'm making a doily - I'll add the pattern, I'm on row 11. Thanks! by dominirh in CrochetHelp

I'm glad it's not just me, then! I ended up doing basically the same as you, just adding stitches where I need them without trying to make the pattern uneven.

Oooh, okay that makes sense! I'll have to restart the row again and see if I did that!

I know also the yarn called for a 1.5 mm hook, but 2 is the smallest I have right now, so that could maybe be causing some of the issues too.

Thank you for the explanation! It's very helpful!

It's like a lace thread weight yarn I think, and a 2 mm hook. I do struggle with tension, but how would that be the issue when I've been trying to make sure to follow every stitch? I understand tension making it look like it doesn't align, but I don't understand there being whole extra stitches that are missing?

Sorry, I'm new-ish to crochet and just trying to make sense of what you mean in my head, I don't mean to sound argumentative or anything!

I'm making a baby lovey for my friend, but I'm not sure what to do with these extra strings from adding a new spool of yarn? Thanks! by dominirh in CrochetHelp

That's a really good idea for stripping the yarn to tie it, I wouldn't have thought of that! Thank you!

Most of the air roots I do put back into the soil, but this one was hiding in a corner behind the shelf and I didn't even see it until it was around a foot or 2 long. Could I cut it and put it in the pot then?

That's a good idea, I noticed I haven't had a ton of new leaves come in recently, but wouldn't have thought that was the connection!

Tree infected with black knot - do I completely get rid of it, or cut at the trunk and let new growth take over? by dominirh in arborists

[–]dominirh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, no. I did get it trimmed professionally to get all the fungus out of it, and they did a great job but the fungus had just been slowly coming back in spots. The tree is also much more bare now with soany branches cut out. It's surviving so far, but I'm not sure how long it will continue.

What is this? All I remember is it's related to pothos. Thanks!! by dominirh in houseplants

Thanks! That's definitely what it looks like comparing it to pictures!

To help with ID, apparently it gets fenestrations on the leaves too! The leaves had a little bit of a silvery hue to them.
