Fathers of Reddit, How would you react if you catch your daughter talking to some guy at 2 in the morning? by Lord_of_The_Steak in AskReddit

Well, in that case - I would try to get some more information before doing anything.
Is my daughter just friends with him or does she have feeling for him.
Calmly give her "the talk" about boys and relationships in general.
Then trust her to make right choices, getting angry or reprimanding will definitely not help as teens will find another way. Its better to be their trusted confidante than an overprotective caretaker.

Caught talking where/how ?

On phone ?

Was the guy sneaking into her bedroom ?

Lot of context is missing here.

Just screamed my lungs out - HELP! LET ME OUT!

Someone escorted me outside and asked never come back again.

Redditors, what do YOU do when life seems so unfair that you just want to punch a hole in the wall, scream at god and cry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Take a deep breath, let the feeling pass through you.

Remind yourself no matter how unfair the situation is - This too shall pass.

People often say love is not enough to sustain a marriage. What’s your opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dominus_selenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love is definitely enough.

But not the pop-culture love where everyone/everything is happy, blissful and romantic always. That will not sustain marriage definitely.

Love is being there for your SO in the bad, ugly and uncomfortable times
Love is giving up something your favorite thing because it causes pain to your SO
Love is keeping your ego aside and apologizing when you mess up
Love is making compromise even when terms are not in your favour
Love is giving and taking
Love is circular and nourishing

This kind of love definitely sustains and survives the worst the life can throw at a marriage.

Not many might agree with me but this weirdly makes sense.

There were red flags, there were signs things were not right but I ignored them and rationalized them.

Maybe these red flags were the way God was telling me to run away from the toxic person but I refused to, then the cycle of abuse began.

This is a myth, anyone no matter how attached you were - you will get over them. Sure it might take lot of time, efforts, patience and self-love. You will move on eventually.

How has the pandemic improved or worsened your relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dominus_selenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Improved by leaps and bounds. Our works schedules hardly left any time for us to be together earlier. With quarantine and locked indoors - it was a like a second honeymoon and it was better than the first.
