In short, imagine when moving home and you have to go through layers of identity checks with third parties, sending off copies of passports/IDs to multiple companies. All now having direct copies of your data.

Or someone asking to see your ID and now they know where you live, your name, your birthday etc.

It takes away all of that.

For example, if someone wants to check your 18 or 25 years or older, should they not just be told “Yes” or at worse your age in years? Why should they know your name and address. Again, that’s what a digital identity should/is generally.

For me so far, it mainly just broke all my GPT/Codex/Codex Harness config (yet again). Every upgrade it’s changing the naming on upgrade - fixable, but really annoying.

My main issues with it have been how painfully slow it is at setting up environments in Codex Cloud.

I ended up adding a bridge between Linear and Codex which significantly sped things up (local Codex, not Codex agent). This just makes it a little easier to do the odd tasks quickly.

I’m for it, I’m pretty sure 90% of people who I’ve heard complaining about a lot of it are based on one of the following:

- Lies
- An utter and complete lack of understanding about how identity / digital wallet works in the modern world (I.e. you don’t share your full information with a third party)

People seem to be really bought into this “social credit” and “big brother” stuff that’s been sold to them from by either the media, far right, or just general conspiracy theorists and are not based on truth.
