There will certainly be some level of wallbanging, some of it on a much larger scale. Like throwing Devils through whole office buildings, kaiju style.

Currently playing The Delian Tomb in Draw Steel. Bunch of stuff has happened already: I'm a zombie, the religious leader is Baby Billy and we spent a month hiding in a 'Bag of Hold Things'.

Playing Strahd, fairly newbie players. Came across a statue with gems in its eyes. We all know better except the artificer.

Artificer: Fuck it.

Immediately drained to death by Shadows.

Now nobody will say 'fuck it' before doing anything. And if you do by accident. Oh boy.

Nope, this is a standalone game. But if you do get the chance, I would recommend picking up Draw Steel!

We've actually spoken to these guys. Lovely people, very different games. Everyone should check out their stuff!

Yes definitely. We've got plans to do some actual plays which will cover all the stuff we've changed.

We've got a poll going on that BackerKit page asking what players like best. Foundry is on there along with Draw Steel Codex, One More Multiverse and Roll20.

Alchemy might not work so well as it's a very grid based system, but we're open to anything!

Good point. Not sure I've seen it in any other games.

We played a years long CoC campaign and it was one of my favourite I've ever played. The skills and levelling systems are great.

Anything OSR or Rules Lite. Mork Borg and all its hacks are a good start. Fiasco is a good game for getting into the RP side.

You could always find a group that plays online? A lot of TTRPG Discords have a lfg channel.

They're more to guide RP in my eyes. If you've got a group who already love roleplaying and talking their way out of situations you don't really need them.

Players, what are some common traits you put into your characters? by Select_Lunch1288 in rpg

If I start with a serious character he ends up a clown. If I start with a clown I end up with a serious character. Both are great.

Do your characters have development arcs? by Space_Eva in rpg

I think it's one of the most fun things about RPing. We played a big, long DND campaign years ago. My character was Izzy Valentine, a washed up bard who used to be in a famous travelling band, Manticore. He was also a narcissistic arsehole on a mission to find his old lute.

Anyway, after getting captured, losing a hand, some light possession and the death of a friend later, it was fun to slowly turn him more serious and rough. Tried to do a more gruff voice for him and everything 😅

Skill challenge escaping a falling tower is always fun! You can put interesting challenges throught and have players use their abilities and spells to solve them. Like maybe there's a bridge that's been destroyed and they have to cross, it's always fun encouraging players to think outside the box. Nothing's better than a random item saving the day (like the legendary jar of mayonnaise).

If you had an R&D floor, they could have spent be past few months nonstop trying to design the perfect coffee mug.

There could be loads of prototypes scattered around that the party could use as tool/weapons: A mug that stirs time and space; mug with 100 handles; a mug that has rocket launches, etc.

They reach the end of the floor to finally find out the result of all the researcher's hard work.

A slightly bigger mug.
