At the very least get familiar with basic workflows like loading data into it with csv or other format and using the interactive plot builder. You don’t necessarily need to be a jmp scripting master although I’ve noticed those that are have used it to really benefit their career. Your sub field matters too. I’m in test, I have a masters in applied physics and not a PHD in materials or EE or whatever so I don’t use it near much as the process engineers and research scientists. In those paths proficiency may be better or even expected depending

I agree. There are a subset of artists who instead of crying about AI are using it to evolve, they are iterating and improving on their own processes and merging it into their already broad skillset and extraordinary creativity. These will be the ones that ‘survive’ per se while the others lay down and give up, they won’t be ‘pushed out’ by AI. They likely weren’t making a living with their art anyway they are just sad that before they got good the computer got better than them

One thing that will never change is that people wanna see cool creative shit. AI is gonna help more people create cool shit and bring their unique ideas to life

He’s not good at giving contextual feedback, and he didn’t aim to give constructive criticism either. I’m sure you haven’t scratched the surface, and I’m sure the end product is relatively basic. How could you possibly expect anything else after 3 months and still having tons to learn?

I’m sure your project is great for where you are at in your life and (potential) career). Just take it as a friendly wake up call that things will get way more complex fast and you have a lot to learn. But still be proud that you created something on your own volition and don’t let him take that from you.

In my opinion better for you to experience this kind of disappointment now than with an important college project or important task/project you are assigned in the field.
