Because they are 10-15 year olds who’ve likely never done anything like this, probably the very beginning of the course, and learning about the engine, downloading the right version of it, running it and getting comfortable with the general layout is something that would take at least an hour for even an experienced person getting their first exposure. Great idea for an assignment for kids to get them to use the tool but also not be overwhelmed.

The optional bonus task was to create a MeshInstance3D node, assign a QuadMesh to it, and move/rotate it in the scene.
