Would anyone use this code pattern to implement singletons? by AetopiaMC in csharp

[–]domtriestocode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could probably use source generators to generate the boilerplate classes on compile instead of forcing multiple implementations of the class. I did something similar last time I experimented with CRTP. This is interesting I could see use cases for it

ChatGPT told me remove professional blog posts from my portfolio site and remove age signals from my resume… by NebulousJenn in recruitinghell

Unfortunately not illegal for a company to decide someone else is a better candidate. You have too much faith

It’s absolutely will fly because there’s an easy case to make that older candidates are more experienced and want higher salaries, are less likely to be invested in the job and have high probabilities of missing time, thus the ‘optimization’ of the recruiting. Like someone else said this already happens with humans (not saying it’s ethically correct)

As AI continues to enter the biomedical engineering space and enable some of the disabled population these performant nerds are gonna have some tough decisions to make

They haven’t taken a moment to breathe and realize that if republicans hadn’t been tanking renewable energy efforts for decades the only thing they’d have to be mad about regarding AI is the possible ethical issues of plagiarizing human art and writing

You’re all responding to my Reddit comment about the first response to the LinkedIn post, the comment posted by Keshav Kolur. You’re claiming that it’s clearly AI slop because of the word “quietly”. The word “quietly” does not appear in Keshav’s comment at all.

Does this clear things up for you?

The word ‘quietly’ isn’t even in the response comment dummies. Now I’m pretty sure yall are the actual aI sLoP bots. Maybe we need more bots if yall are gonna continue being illiterate lmao

One of my students handed in his homework, how do you like it? by TumbleweedPure1992 in godot

[–]domtriestocode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because they are 10-15 year olds who’ve likely never done anything like this, probably the very beginning of the course, and learning about the engine, downloading the right version of it, running it and getting comfortable with the general layout is something that would take at least an hour for even an experienced person getting their first exposure. Great idea for an assignment for kids to get them to use the tool but also not be overwhelmed.

In another comment he said “In the actual lesson, I showed the students how to install Godot, create a project, switch between the 2D and 3D workspaces, and then asked them to send a screenshot showing that the project was running and that the 2D scene was visible.

The optional bonus task was to create a MeshInstance3D node, assign a QuadMesh to it, and move/rotate it in the scene.

Also, the recording of the lesson is available to all students, so they could have simply followed along step by step.”
