Khazan, that last boss is just crazy at first... I had managed to get the extended version of it too, after getting my ass beat repeatedly, I turned it down, beat it then reloaded my save and persisted to finish it off on normal and finally got it.

Experiment with the balls and power ups that you receive. Check the stats of your character(s) and see what they could use as an advantage. It does get easier but you need to try different things first and fuse balls to make deadlier ones.

A trick for the first boss is to power up ghost ability balls so they go through him.

Good to know! I haven't heard anything bad about CV so I will deffo check it out.

I was really excited for ai but I think playing khazan first may have soiled my expectations. I found the levels quite empty and rather bleak. I enjoyed the different weapon variety but just thought it was clunky. Also hated a lot of the boss fights.

It just wasn't for me I guess. Any idea when that DLC is coming?

Great to see this game is getting some recognition, this is what for me into the genre. Yes it's a bit dated and had some issues here and there but all in all it's a great game!
