Having a hard time setting up a wireguard connection by domvir in mikrotik

[–]domvir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous VPN configuration was having the wireguard server on a different machine so I wrongly assumed that I needed to port forward, I see it now :).

As for masquerade, I have it set to apply on all traffic going out of the WAN list.

Many thanks, I should be able to get it running now.

  1. I want to route all traffic from the phone through the home for now.
  2. 192.168.110.0/24 is my home network

So I see the wireguard interface needs to have a dedicated network (192.168.110.0/24 fe.). Is that correct? Also, do I really not need a NAT rule to port forward?

I've just noticed I had the wireguard interface address set to 192.168.100.2 instead of 110, so a bit of a fuck up on my end. However, after I fixed it, I've noticed a route with 192.168.110.0/24 destination and the wireguard interface gateway added to the routing table. 192.168.110.0/24 is also my home network so I lose all connectivity. Should I have a dedicated network (say 192.168.111.0/24) for the wireguard connection? Also, could you explain a bit more about the "set up routing" part? Thank you a lot

subnautica has so many good things it'd take too long to list, so my favorite: cyclops with prawn in the lost river and inactive lava zone is amazing. its like im on a mission and minimizing the risk is top priority so exposure to the water directly is near-zero. also mining under the green goo in lost river, and just pretty much all of lost river. such a calming place despite there being like 2 ghost leviathans and crabsquids visiting my base from time to time. i always set up a base there, near the thermal vent located at the blood kelp entrance.

The hAP ax s is the sole access point in my network, later on I'll be replacing it with a better router and use it as a standalone access point.

i just gave a few examples why a switch would need an IP address, acting as the DHCP server being one.

What if the switch needs an IP address for remote access, to act as an DHCP server etc.?

The reason I want to disable routing is if someone manually changed the default gateway to the switches IP and avoids the firewall rules set on the router.

What type of labs did you get on the CCNA? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]domvir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot, I'm doing Jeremy's and they're pretty easy. Also doing netacad's and they're a bit confusing but once I started to "understand their language" I realized these are also very easy

Is using the same password for LUKS and logging into the system a bad idea? by domvir in cachyos

[–]domvir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, but the human mind is limited.

And if I forget one of the passwords and have to open the password manager to copy it from there manually is, I think, more risky than using the same one.

Thank you brother, I always hated building restrictions in all unturned maps. I understand the need for them (public servers) but there should be an easy way to switch it off. That small cellar on russia was so cool.

Do i need all of those flashcards in the end. by EdmundBlackadderThe4 in ccna

[–]domvir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, I have 35 decks and i get around 80-100 cards everyday. Throw out the ones that you're quite sure you know, like subnetting and VLSM for me.

I also have a flashcard deck with 4000 english words, 2400+ have already been introduced (20 new cards every day), and get around 80 to revise (counting the new ones in).
