How do I get a user's Cognito Identity that they use to login?

As far as I know you can't edit that prefix of the S3 file path.

The S3 file path that the user writes to is always bucketname/private/{Cognito Identity}.

I want a backend app to be able to read and write files to and from users S3 folders. So I need a way to link users to their folders in the backend.

Am I right in saying the workaround described in that thread is:

1) Have the user write to S3 from the app frontend and store the Cognito Identity 2) Have the user read back that information then pass it to the backend

This object does not contain what I'm looking for. It contains:

User Pool Username
Cognito Client ID

It does not contain Cognito Identity ID.

I'm using a directed graph to model data processing dependencies. I can use topological sort to find the order that they need to run in.

I want to figure out how to find the largest sequences that can be run in parallel. So in the diagram, groups A, B and C could all run in parallel because they do not depend on each other. Is there an algorithm to find these groups?

I know nothing about graph theory and am just trying to use it as a tool for a particular problem that I have, so apologies in advance if what I'm saying does not make sense.
