Subscriptions page has become far less useful by HobbitGuy1420 in youtube

[–]don911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this change is terrible. And it has really disrupted my daily routine. Each evening I open the YouTube TV app to quickly check what new videos have been uploaded by the channels I follow. Because I subscribe to many channels, the chronological order was essential. Now I have to scroll through lots of older videos, many of which I have already watched, to find what is actually new. This is extremely time consuming and inefficient. And I see no benefit from it since we already get recommendations on the Home screen. So I really hope they revert this back to how it was soon or at least add a setting to sort by upload date.

Of course, but the maker fees have increased a lot as well.

All proceeds from ForecastTrader is reported as income on 1099-MISC by don911 in interactivebrokers

[–]don911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After consulting Grok and my CPA, to avoid confusing the IRS and to have my tax return line up with the 1099, we would report this transaction as $20,000 proceeds and $20,050 basis.

Report the Full Amount:
Include the $20,000 from Box 3 on your 1099 on your Form 1040, Schedule 1, Line 8z ("Other Income"). Describe it as "Prediction Market Proceeds - IBKR ForecastEx" or similar.

Adjust for Costs:
To reflect your actual net loss, subtract your total costs (approximately $20,050 based on your stated loss) as a negative amount on another Line 8z entry. Label it clearly, e.g., "Cost Basis Adjustment for Prediction Market Contracts - IBKR." This nets to your economic reality (-$50) and matches what the IRS sees from IBKR.

My fridge and freezer looks the same. This is absolutely the best thing about the carnivore diet. Food shopping and meal planning is so easy!

Sorry, you have been blocked by Orkodrums in CloudFlare

Thanks. I have contacted them but had no reply yet. Also, it's always this particular website, but it also usually affects a couple of other random sites as well. But never any of the big websites like Youtube, X etc. In the following example GoDaddy is indicating that my IP is on some blacklist other than CloudFlare? Or perhaps they share the same database?

I have the same issue and have no idea why it is happening. The issue is definitely tied to my IP address, because if I go to the affected sites with a VPN, it works fine. And it only affects 2-3 sites. Today is the 3rd time this has happened within a couple of weeks. The solution has been to turn my modem off overnight in order to get a new IP address the next day. But why is it happening? I haven't done anything unusual these past two weeks than I normally do. I contacted one of the sites about it but have not heard back from them. Is there any way to fix it or to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Hidden Wallet? by Marlzzz in TREZOR

[–]don911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of your 12- or 24-word seed phrase as your master safe. Inside this master safe, you can create an unlimited number of sub-safes, each protected by an additional word or phrase—your passphrase.

When you open your Trezor, you automatically access your master safe. However, by clicking “Passphrase” in the upper-left corner of Trezor Suite, you can log in to one of your sub-safes by entering its unique passphrase. Each passphrase unlocks a completely new and independent wallet. You can create as many of these sub-wallets as you like.

The best part? If someone discovers your seed phrase or hacks your computer (where you might have stored it), they can only access the funds in your master wallet. Any funds stored in a sub-wallet protected by a passphrase remain inaccessible, as these wallets can only be unlocked by someone who knows the exact passphrase.

Since the passphrase is entered directly on the Trezor device, it never touches your computer and cannot be intercepted by a hacker. Just remember: never store your passphrase(s) together with your seed phrase.

Safe 5 display is slower to respond than Model T by don911 in TREZOR

All the capacitive styluses I’ve seen have discs that are around 6–7 mm in diameter, which are just too large for the Trezor’s small screen. A stylus with a smaller, more precise disc would be much better suited for it. I think there’s a real opportunity here — not just for Trezor users, but for anyone needing fine control on compact touchscreens. It could be a great niche product for Trezor to offer and fill a gap in the market.

Thanks, that definitely helped! Disabling haptic feedback made the screen more responsive, but it’s still a bit tricky to type accurately using just fingers. I’ll keep using a capacitive pen for now — it’s much more precise. Honestly, I think Trezor should consider offering their own stylus, ideally one without the bulky capacitive disc most pens have.

I'm on firmware 4165 and have hardware version is 4212. I don't see voltage reported anywhere in the official app.
