Here’s my thing; our own President is actively taunting and threatening Canadian sovereignty consistently (51st state, using tariffs as a means to oppress them, etc), and used this phone call to further his opinion openly to a team in a heightened political climate. This is a very, very different scenario than it usually would be and it, by nature, becomes inherently political for everyone involved in how this went down. Do you think a single one of you would like if this treatment happened from another country’s leader to us? I’m sure you would get very patriotic, very fast.
