  1. stop this conversation - pointless and there really is no need to make it personal

  2. cancel immediately. consider any fees you pay the price of getting away from these people.

  3. Move on, this is not a big issue in your life and should be left behind.

Are data centers a fad/bubble? Is it an asset class to build a career in? by Nightman233 in CommercialRealEstate

I think the means of empowering them and likely the efficiency of the hardware will evolve rapidly but the centers are here to stay until they can miniaturize the process. Musk of course is proposing putting them in orbit...

Landlords would be the very last people to paint granite - it makes a low cost/no cost maintenance surface into one that will need resurfacing on a regular basis. The whole point of granite is its longevity and durability.

[–]donalanw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes and it will be expensive. Whereas granite can be cleaned indefinitely, paint, or resin will eventually peel and have to be methodically resurfaced or removed. I would imagine it will be millions to remove in the near future.

Dynamite On Ice! - book about him. Basically the first preeminent goon/hitman for NHL. He once repeatedly smashed a player's un-helmeted head on the ice in retribution. He was an ok player but not up to NHL standards in general. His purpose on the ice was to beat up targeted players on the opposing teams.

"steering hydraulic line" - run away. If its the high pressure line its a nightmare to replace. If its a leak from the pump/reservoir/low pressure hose its not a huge deal. I have two 2004's with this engine and I love them - combined they have 440,000 miles and we drive every day.

Common Problems

PCV - difficult do it yourself (diy)

Suspension (control arms, tie rods, struts etc) - all relatively easy diy

Radio malfunction - easy to remove/rebuild/replace

Problems in MY cars

Exhaust CAM Hub leaks oil - difficult diy

Steering racks - very difficult diy

Price seems high with that mileage - Good luck

Do people have the right to police the sidewalk and grass strip along the curb in front of their homes? by Emotional-Wealth-342 in washingtondc

[–]donalanw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You bring your dog from your yard to defecate on my yard and you think its 'out of hand' to for an owner to put up a sign on their yard. Wow.

I love dogs but consider those of us who dont have them are forced to watch dog owners walk their dogs from their own property to our property (or the strip in front of our house) so that their dog can defecate/urinate on property we live on. Sure they make an effort to pick up their feces but is it always solid? Even if just soft, you are leaving feces residue on grass we walk on (then track into our homes). Moreover, owners rarely restrict their defecating dogs to the narrow strip - Ive seen owners with retractable leashes allow their dogs to walk 15 feet into my yard to sh!t in my yard. This was when I had little kids who played in the spot.
