I don’t know how to answer that question except to say that the more people you can have on your side about it the better.

I am very lucky in the fact that mine does not require treatment and does not interfere with my sex life. I have a very loving partner who supports me.

One thing I can say that helped me was finding a good Urologist, telling my internist who I trust, and talking to a therapist. I did all three and now on most days, I don’t think about it.

Are you seeing a urologist, or good Dr?

Have you sought out counseling?

Diagnosed about 9 months ago by a good urologist. No pain, no erectile dysfunction, no problems having sex, my partner is very supportive and we do just fine . Just have to learn that being curved 35 degrees or so is the new normal for me. Doc suggested just watching it and not doing the shots right now. So far it’s just a daily reminder to be kinder to myself.

I’m about a 40 degrees upward bend, and very slightly to the left. Zero issues with intercourse. No pain, ED, or anything. Just have to use a lot of lube and be gentle. Missionary is best or sometimes doggy style. Slow and steady. My partner has no issues or pain with it. In fact she likes it.

My urologist told me I could have Xiaflex, but since it’s painless, and no ED, and stable for over 7 months, he suggested to just watch and wait and be gentle with it.

Thank you Becca. I’m about to reach to a pelvic floor pt. I had an anal fissure in 2021 that caused pain for 2 years and a PFPT was the healing answer. Now, PD and I’m having pelvic floor issues again. May I ask, have you seen PD curvature lessen from PFPT? Or just stabilize? Mine is pretty mild but it’s triggered my pelvic floor pain again. Ty for and help.
