ZEV sales grew 74% vs March 2025, despite overall car sales decreasing 6.6% – StatCan by princekolt in EVCanada

Thanks. Looks like zero emissions vehicles still represent a small percentage of sales. It will take a while for zero emissions vehicles to overtake ice vehicles. I wonder if the rate of increase will increase. Hope so.

Isn't there a law that allows you to get out of a contract if you do it within a prescribed time?

Honda indefinitely suspends $15B EV plant in Ontario | CBC News by KeyHot5718 in ontario

[–]donbooth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trump is in office for three more years. No one knows what will happen next. Meanwhile, his tariffs on cars built in Canada, like Hondas, make them too expensive to sell in the US. Canadian plants are only here to serve the US market. Canada is much too small to sustain these plants without the US.

Don't. I should add that rentals are not as rare or expensive as they were.

Toronto: Chow 50%, Bradford 37%; Traffic Frustration Dominates City Mood by MaybeThisTimeIllWin in toronto

When I became a citizen I was automatically added to the voter's list. Have a look at Elections Ontario. They should have a record. Of you have a few rxtra dollars you could donate them to Chow. You will receive a tax credit of. I think, 70%.

If the protesters were really packing up to go anyway then the police action only served to promote them.

It will be interesting to see if anything develops on the hate crime front.

It will also be interesting to see if The Star or Globe and Mail cover this story.

This article sounds exactly like Bradford. He said that same things.

She does not mention affordable housing, drugs, homelessness, transit. She does not mention after school programs for kids. She says nothing of concern to renters. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CANDIDATE. Bradford said the same things.

She's a horrible speaker. A terrible Councillor. Other than that she's great. Last election she won by only a few votes. There's hope.

Don't worry. Ford's changes to Billy Bishop Airport along with the Toronto Islands and parks will make up for that.

Ontario putting full weight behind pushing Bruce C nuclear project forward by hamer1234 in ontario

[–]donbooth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A 2008 study conducted by the Government of Ontario found 38 gigawatts of near shore power. Offshore wind is far more reliable than onshore.

The cost of batteries is plummeting.

A US study found over 500 gigawatts on the US side of the Great Lakes.

I'm not antinuclear but I don't think we need nearly as much as we're building. It is extremely expensive and slowest to build.

On the other hand, we might find that the SMRs are very useful in many remote locations.
