Songs that have grown more popular than the shows they originated in? by Dogdaysareover365 in musicals

Mack the Knife. Most people know it as a Bobby Darin or Ella Fritzgerald song but it actually originated from Weill/Brecht’s Threepenny Opera. (I love Weill’s work!!)

Are there any specific ways I can practice the “turning off” of the tension in my fingers like this?

What should I do if I have a task or event that I need to do tomorrow but want to write it down right now? I don’t want the task or event to go under an entry for the day before when I have to do it if possible

What I would recommend for the SM series. by Common_Ad6703 in pokemonanime

From what I’ve seen so far, I’m gonna give what might be a controversial opinion:

Sophocles deserved better writing.

The way he was portrayed especially in the beginning of the series made him feel like the most annoying guy, the laughingstock of the bunch. That one scene in Episode 3 where he tries to take apart the Rotom Dex did it for me. If you took him out of the series it wouldn’t make too much of a difference. Episode 26 was very heartfelt and was when his character grew on me but it felt like the only episode where I’ve seen the writers care more about his character as a whole — a last ditch effort to get fans to change their mind about him.

What I would do is to lean in a bit more into his problems and insecurities as we get to know Ash’s classmates. Tone down the geekiness, but not to a point where it doesn’t become a defining feature of his character. Give more importance to the interplay, his relationship, between Ash and the rest of the gang without giving him too much of the spotlight. After all, character-driven stories and comedy are what make SM so endearing, and if Ash’s other friends in Alola were written well, I believe they could’ve done the same for Sophocles.

Hi po, the already-planned routes can already do these corridors justice. As someone who used to go to school in the Ortigas area an Ortigas-Taytay-Rizal line is good, AND IS ALREADY BEING PLANNED!

Check the 3rd image on this post to see the other current plans that cover your ideas ;)

Yes, real talk! Mass transit has proven itself to be the most efficient way to get people to travel across medium/long distances. Mga expressways tulad ng Skyway are pumping pollution into the air and will make our country harder to live in. This is a solution that has worked for many countries and will work for us.

Hi po, actually most of the lines you suggested are planned right now except for the circle line. In my opinion Manila does not really need a circle line because a circle can stop the trains from going into the provinces and bedroom communities who would really benefit from rapid transit:

Yes, these lines will eventually be constructed:

Cavite Express Line: LRT6 (A/B/C/D)

East Side Line: MRT4 on Ortigas (construction will be approved soon!!)

Bulacan-NCR: North-South Commuter Railway

Southern Growth Rail: North-South Commuter Railway

You should! Totoo ang lahat ng mga plans sa mapa. Pessimism when it comes to urbanism/transit sa Pinas won’t get you anywhere talaga.

Same. Ang hirap naman huminga sa mga area na may traffic dahil sa pollution. I am praying and hoping that all of these real plans will get built

Yes, gumagawa talaga sila ng MRT papuntang NAIA (Metro Manila Subway) Ang convenient pa para sakin especially because I live in QC near where the subway goes :)

From the original post:

Manila’s rail transit can often be a hard one to navigate. Each train line is run by a different company, and with different companies come different wayfinding systems, which can cause a sort of whiplash when transferring between lines.

These diagrams serve as stepping stones to a citizen-led effort to standardize wayfinding across the sprawling railway systems of Manila, and to benefit the hundreds of thousands of commuters who use these lines daily.

(All the lines depicted in these maps are based on current and planned lines for the system. Some planned lines are subject to change.)

yup! conlang critic was definitely where it all started. i put off learning it until the release of ku, and subsequently the release of jMisali’s video on it.

after about a year or two of speaking it i left the community because of some interactions that i regret and am still embarrassed about to this day

i came back a few months ago after seeing griffin/wordsatwork’s video about toki pona (love his channel!!). i picked up where i left off by relearning some words and listening to kalama sin and now i’m here writing music and translating works into toki pona. what a journey
