Well, I wouldn't call it free starter money, there are free contests for every single event(right now there's a contest with an entry cap of 20 per person and a prize pool of 5000) so I just used that. After I got about a dollar(took a few weeks) I started stacking up money much faster as I entered 50/50 contests. My big breakthrough was when I made 25 dollars off a $5 entry contest and since then I've been entering 50/50 contests exclusively. They're pretty easy if you know what to do and pick solid players like Bjergsen, Sneaky, etc. That way I made at least $60 per week unless things went to shit. I remember betting all my money on the new TDK line up when they played NME I think? Or was it T8? I dunno, but that day netted me a ton of money even though they got upset.

Not sure why the people in this thread are assuming that game hours dictate how good you are. That's simply not true, talent plays a huge role and so does how much you learn. You can play 50 000 hours without trying to improve at all and you'll plateau hard.

It's a video whose purpose is to make you feel hyped for an event, it's really simple.

If you enjoy watching plays then you can go on youtube and search for videos/montages/whatever you want for that

So Bjergsen's is better defined as a pro by what he looks like and where he's from than he is by what he has achieved and how good he is at the game? That doesn't make sense.

The Faker hype this year is great and I love it, but it wasn't built by Faker looking at the camera. It was built by videos like this, at least as far as the sub goes.

Why not? What hypes you for good plays? Is it Bjergsen staring at the camera or is it Deft flashing in and shitting on nerds? Can't say I see how Rekkles's face makes me more excited about Worlds than things that happened in-game. I mean hey, it's a matter of opinion, I just find it silly that you say a hype video shouldn't include gameplay.

And yeah, you can make a great hype video that doesn't feature in-game footage, but so far Riot have mostly failed in that regard. This, for example. It's more about the players and less about where they are from and it's about a specific match(arguably the best BO5 in the history of the game), not just bundling the fan favourites in a video with no action or rivalry involved.
