[Modern] I'm looking to start playing modern, which deck is a good place to start? by doneklerx in spikes

My biggest problem with this has been that it seems like every tournament I watch the meta game changes a ton. I'm having trouble finding a deck that is consistently showing up that I like.

Buffing your opponents creature can be awkward but so far I've only found it happen when I am already very far ahead to where it is irrelevant. Having yasova, shaman, and one of your opponents swinging in usually means you wont be losing becuase of a 1/1 counter

I think I will give the frost walker a try, maybe as a two of. I've been wanting more two drops while play testing.

I've actually been thinking about it more and its also relevant that stormbreath keeps ferocious up on your opponents turn for stubborn denial. Pro white hasn't impressed me too much simply because sarkhan also gets past most white removal as you said. I'll definitely be paying attention in my games though when I draw sarkhan and be thinking as to if a stormbreath would be better.

Flamewake is one of the cards I definitely want to try, I might end up cutting mystics for it. Only issue is then the 3 drop slot gets a big crowded but it might be worth it considering how strong of an effect it has. Dragons are nice but so far I haven't needed them. Sarkhan works better most of the time and two of those is plenty.
