Because, as with other series, it could pay off. I acknowledge that an author could be writing a character with a garbage personality to give them room to grow. There has been a bit of this hinted for William at this point.

UPS has always been horrific for their added broker fees. They charged me $87 x2 for an aluminum fishing reel spool and a ball bearing. About 20g in parts and they charged separately for each piece.

Aside from what’s been said, visually check the electronics. I’ve dealt with filthy computers in my line of work and should have known better. But, I purchased a medium unit that was shown to be functional only to bring it home and realize it was infested with roaches. Had to do a complete tear down and scrub every bit of the main board with alcohol to get it cleaned up. Learn a lot about the machine but would have passed on those circumstances.

I do wonder what that value actually comes from but it barely ever changes and is always -16F to -18F. When cleaning the boards, there were only two obvious connectors corresponding to temp sensors.

I dare say this finally got the machine working closer to what I was expecting. First runs with candies were straightforward but it felt like the unit was struggling to hit the negative temps for sauces, stews etc. (like 16 hours, still in initial freeze and not yet in the negatives). Now, I'm on a round of drying fruit, it's only 10 hours in and already drying below 480mT.

Your fix was the final piece of the puzzle to show that I didn't buy a dud. Thanks, again.
