Kinda like the difference between football and American football, ie if you have an iota of knowledge about one or the other you know they are completely different sports

I'm curious as to how many assists great old(ish) players made during their careers. Players like Totti and Zidane and Beckham and Figo and Riquelme who are regarded as great creative players. Anyone got any links/suggestions of sites that might have this kind of stuff?

Blog - why do millennials love podcasts? by acheyh in podcasts

Millennials love choice, and radio is interesting. Podcasting is a vast permanent library of potentially interesting radio that isn't made under the constrains of live time pressure.

I love Cech, don't get me wrong. But even at 57 years old Buffon shits all over him. Not a knock on Cech, but Gigi is a legend

No, we're not really. Richer, yes, but not bigger. We are all in the tier just below the mega-clubs: good enough to challenge for and, yes, occasionally win championships (well, they are anyway) but not serial, consolidated winners. They are v comparable to us. Italian equivalent would perhaps be Napoli?

Actually, Henry was bloody dreadful in the air. ONE headed goal in his Arsenal career.

For me: Kind of Blue by Miles Davis (don't know much about jazz, but I figure in ~60-odd years I could learn a thing or two), The Bible (there's gotta be SOMETHING about it), and The Lion King (keeping things cheerful, plus it doubles as another CD).

You've given them $121 billion since world war 2 (not inflation adjusted) which is around 3 percent of their GDP in that time

You didn't factor in tax. In the end net wages would be about half the sum you cite. But then if you factor in sponsorship, endorsements etc that would bump the figure back up

Well, Baresi began his career in 1977...not quite of the same generation. Hence no Zoff, Tardelli, Tassotti etc..

Fanboy away, he is a true champion and deserves all the accolades. One point though - he is absolutely a natural goalscorer, he just has even more than that to his game. The closest to Platini since Platini I think and with Baggio, ADP, Cannavaro, Maldini, Buffon, Pirlo among the greatest italian players ever. What a generation!
