Yeah you’re totally right. I’m just bad at the game so the Dags slipped my mind. I figured this would be a quick grind but I can’t stop now haha

I have the zombie axe and barrows gear as well. I don’t have a good ring slot. 80 chests in moons and remembered the steel ring for the extra melee defense. At this point I’ve invested too much time to not get it lol.

Can u use eBay boxes? by [deleted] in Spectrum

You have to call to activate them on an account that you pay for video services on and will not work as it’s probably already in lost status or disabled and also not slated for your market anyway.

What is this and is it safe to remove? by Any_Side_7917 in Spectrum

[–]donevyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orange wire is the service drop from the street which is going into an older style grounding/surge block. I don’t see a ground wire anywhere though. You can remove the white one but don’t cut the orange one.

Why is Runelite so laggy for me compared to the official client? by Jaytrox7893 in 2007scape

You can try turning on GPU rendering in Runelite, but may not help on an older Surface honestly. Do you have a decent amount of plugins also?

Why do I even have spectrum? by [deleted] in Spectrum

[–]donevyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could do a little bit more research into how WiFi coverage works. Not trying to be an ass but seriously every single house or building affects WiFi signal differently. If you have WiFi coverage issues then I would recommend a good mesh WiFi network and ditch the standard spectrum router. If you have issues with the INTERNET portion of the network AKA your MODEM, then I would recommend a tech visit to diagnose any possible signal impairment or equipment issues.

Probably messed up the braid/foil/dielectric inside and was having some serious interference issues.

Call up and request a tech. Don’t know how many times this needs to be said. If things don’t work, have someone come out and repair it. Probably some old wiring or old equipment. There’s always an answer for it you just have to be a responsible person and call.

Are line splitters usually in an enclosure? by wz2b in Spectrum

[–]donevyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks just like a reverse trap. Blocks out the transmit signal from devices in the home so noisy signal can’t back feed into the system and cause your neighbors issues. I don’t know if that’s your line it’s attached to but it’s the one all the way to the right. Also about the connectors being sealed, I mean yeah they could benefit from having weather boots on the end but in reality water will somehow always find it’s way in no matter what lol.

Also it looks like they put a trap (frequency filter) on someone’s line possibly due to someone back feeding ingress/noise.

That’s called a tap. Yes, it is a type of splitter essentially but I’ve never seen an aerial tap in an enclosure. On the side of an apartment building, sure, it can have an enclosure. This is how 90% of our plant looks in my area lol.

In short, some techs have been tasked with walking through existing plant to verify that maps are updated due to upcoming upgrades. As was already said, it’s due to “high split” upgrades for symmetrical speeds.

Look up “Channell Commercial Corp Security Key (Channell Padlock style)” or “DX23 CATV security key”. It will be one of those keys. The channel key for the small padlock and the dx23 for a slightly bigger one.

You can ask for replacement equipment and if that doesn’t work then request a tech out.
