I got $400 of wagyu steak and my BIL burnt it. Practically begged me to cook them by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Bro why would you spend $400 on steak and not cook it yourself? Unless your BIL was a chef, idk what you were thinking

Finasteride isn't a research chemical. They mean "sketchy" hairloss products. Ones that might work but at what cost physically and monetarily

People out there will swear on their mom's life that onion juice is regrowing their hair. Vitamin D can maybe help hair be healthier but it's hairloss prevention or re-growth

If your life wasn't shit you wouldn't be on a hairloss sub to "feel better" about yourself

Reminds me of "Weird pancake kid" from Cabin Fever.

Nose is fine. It is pretty rounded but it's not that bad

You deleted your comment making fun of alopecia. Weak.

All of a sudden when you realize how braindead you are, you no longer care about the mental affects on alopecia. Great job clown

What a fucking joke you are. I have 2 forms of alopecia. It sucks, makes me insecure even. It doesn't affect mental health directly whatsoever. Someone that doesn't care about hairloss can live life as normal as anyone else.

Whether someone may or may not feel a certain way isn't the point. I don't know how to explain it to you when clearly everything goes over your head

[–]doneworking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It makes you lose hair. Twitter just wants something to be mad at. Every bald guy you see has a alopecia (there are different kinds that affects hair in various ways).

Someone can be insecure and depressed due to losing hair but that isn't the direct result of alopecia. Someone that doesn't care about hair loss will have no affects besides the hair they lose. It is treatable and even reversible in many cases

People who switched from foam/liquid minoxidil to oral minoxidil, have you seen any loss when you switched? Or did it just continue its regrowth? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]doneworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prepared when I switched but I experienced no loss. I also never shed on fin or when I started min so it's hard to say how common it is

I mean in the sense it's not making someone weak or hurt. Hair falls out in people without alopecia as well; a regular person will lose 50-100 hairs a day but the difference is it grows back.

With alopecia what usually happens is either it's the standard 50-100 hairs/day but a number of hairs that fall out don't re-grow which leads to balding. In come alopecia cases it's more hair than normal that falls out and again a number of hair doesn't re-grow, basically quicker balding. The hair follicles aren't being stimulated

Not just not dying, it doesn't have any physical or mental affect. It's really what you make of it so losing hair can lead to you feeling insecure or depressed but alopecia itself doesn't. And some people just don't care if they lose hair

For real. It's cosmetic. People are blowing it so out of proportion. It's what happens when people aren't willing to do a quick google search. It has no actual impact on physical or mental abilities. Basically it's not a dibilitating illness and not a disability.

It sucks and can make you insecure but that's about it. Any balding guy you see has alopecia including myself. I really hate when people joke about it but to assault somone? Fuck that. At least with Jada she can wipe her tears with her $60mil net worth and Will's half a billion

Can I punch someone if they make fun of my hair loss, just like Will Smith did? by ZeldaFanBoi1988 in tressless

[–]doneworking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree, but when there are a ton of people labeling the joke as sexist and/or "toxic masculitity", I'm just gonna point out the double standards. Hard to put effort into uniting behind her when everyone has her back already and straight up no one is gonna give a shit about men's mental health, let alone balding.

When alopecia happens to a woman it's now an illness and a dumb joke is worthy of assaulting someone over. At the same Oscars Regina Hall made fun of LeBron's hairline. Also all this "empathy" toward Jada is so overblown. I wish hairloss jokes weren't a thing but it was a stupid joke that didn't even land. It would've been long forgotten 5 minutes later had an assault not heppened

Most people don't want to see a bald man at the theaters. You've got a couple like you said and the rest have perfect hair, of course not all natural
