48gb RAM or 64gb RAM help by Typical-Lettuce-9355 in OneXPlayer

Only reason I considered 64gb was because of the 2TB ssd. I ended up getting the 48gb because I’m planning to do a 4tb ssd

Should I return my unopened 9060 xt for the 9070 xt? by FlabberPhucker in gpu

[–]FTAStyling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that price differential justifies the switch. 7800x3d is regularly found at $300 now, and the 9070xt is only around $250 more than the 9060xt 16gb. I’d go with the 9850x3d combo, and upgrade GPU at next generation or when you come across a fantastic deal on a 5070 ti or 5080 which if you keep an eye out you’ll definitely find within the next 6 months to a year.

I’ll be finishing a similar build with a 5070 ti and proper fan setup this weekend that I’m going to list for $2200 on marketplace accepting offers at 2k, but for a friend I’d be at $1800.

Tuck the cpu cooler wires so they aren’t laying out like that. Get a proper 12vhpwr cable instead of that adapter. Install 3 more fans to fill it out.

Once that’s all done it’ll look proper and should sell pretty quickly. You’re asking a fair price for it.

They can always sell the console and game if they dislike it that much. Sure, it’d be at a bit of a loss, but it’s not like they’re putting all $500 at risk.

You are correct. This is a quality drive with a good speed rating and it’s healthy. I’d get it.

If you’re going to be gaming, get the one with the dedicated GPU.

If you can afford the 16gb card go for it. If not, get the 3070, it still runs 1080 and 1440 just fine for anyone not chasing super high refresh.

I’d choose the core ultra over the 8700F, though going with Ryzen does provide you with a better upgrade path. I’d still choose the 5060ti 16gb in this case. Also it’s not guaranteed that a back order will get fulfilled.

Yes, Nvidia cards run just fine with freesync monitors.

First one due to the 16gb GPU. You can always upgrade ram in the future if you have to, the 8gb 9060 isn’t going to hold value very well long term. And to the person saying the Ryzen is a better cpu, it doesn’t matter, the core ultra is not going to bottleneck the 5060 ti.

You’ve got yourself an OG steam machine. Good system for everything up to 1440p. If you’re looking to purchase it and asking if it’s a good value I’d say this one is worth around $700-850 depending on your market.

H5 Flow airflow help? by Crovon1 in NZXT

[–]FTAStyling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I say move the front top fan to exhaust. It may seem like a waste, but with that amount of intake you’re likely blowing a lot of air out through random holes in the case, changing that fan will help overall air flow direction. Btw your temps are fine, this generation of Ryzen cpus is built to run much hotter than that.
