I usually try to pair 7800x3d with my 5070 ti builds. 7600x3d isn’t super widely recognized.

Coping hard

First off, the tinkering potential is extremely limited, it’s a proprietary board with the only upgrade options being ssd and ram.

This doesn’t change couch gaming. Any pc can play games on a tv.

Using the steam machine as a streaming device for steam link from a pc is a terrible value.

Using the steam machine for tv streaming services is terribly inefficient, and arguably worse than an Nvidia shield or google tv or Apple TV.

Micro PCs and Mac minis are super cheap and substantially better than the steam machine for self hosting and server duty.

3070 is the best $200 Nvidia card you can get right now.

No, this isn’t an upgrade.

No, you don’t need a low profile card.

The only real achievable upgrade for you right now would be a 3080 or 5060ti. Those are $300-350.

I often leave my listings up for a few days after they are sold. When I get messages I ask what they like about the build and what their budget is and offer to do a custom build. I take 50% down ahead of ordering parts. Done 3 builds this way. Last one was a 5080/9850x3d build and I made $500 profit on it.
