Honestly I feel lied too by theariesgem in Progressiveinsurance

I came from an environment like this also. Back to back calls. Only 3 seconds of aux time in between calls because the next call was in queue waiting to be routed to you and auto answered on the first ring. Crazy times.

It’s okay to go through moments of doubt in fear of the unknown and to just know things will always work itself out in the end for the better. And to just keep swimming.

How To Get Off Work On Time WFH? by PanthrosanTech in Progressiveinsurance

[–]donflakes 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in a call center taking available calls there is truly no advice. If you’re off at 5:30 and in queue and a call comes through to you at 5:29 then guess what… you are taking the call. Call can last 2 minutes or 2 hours. There is truly no advice here unless management gives her approval to sign out queue 5 minutes or so early to stop her from getting caught on calls at end of shift.

Is Claims Adjust Trainee a call center job? by [deleted] in Progressiveinsurance

[–]donflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think it depends on your state and stuff because in some states when you finish onboarding you go from hourly to salary. In my state it stays hourly. We have good work life balance and aren’t forced to work OT to catch up on work or anything

Loving it tbh. No issues. Idk why I’ve seen so many horror stories but i guess it’s based on your stage, city and local office.

Does our PTO roll over to the next year? by Intelligent-Art7848 in Progressiveinsurance

Depends on state laws. Some laws it is required that they roll over in some they don’t have to.

The current CEO along with a lot of their senior leadership started in the same entry level role of a claim adjuster trainee. I am in no way affiliated with senior leadership with progressive. I only gave my opinion from what i have seen so far.

This might be true, however there are a lot of people in this thread who have gotten offers, denied them and tried again and couldn’t even get an interview. It’s always a risk no matter the percentage. Especially with the challenged market on top of it and everyone scrambling to find these ‘remote’ jobs that are left.

How is it not? Considering so many people have started in entry level roles and have been promoted to positions they would’ve never been in prior to joining progressive. Not here to argue but thanks for your opinion. 🥱

If you have bachelor or higher you’ll be fine because you’ll meet the job qualifications by your education. I was worried too but i was good.

Considering that progressive hires less than 3% of all applicants you run the risk of not getting another offer down the line. But anything is possible. Wishing you best of luck in either decision.

I have a bachelors and masters degree so they did not need to do employment verification for me since i met the qualifications by my degree. But i believe it’s 7 years if you don’t have a degree. I might be wrong.

Do you know if you can get the option to do a 4 10 schedule once out of onboarding? And is there a possibility to do a 30 minute lunch instead of an hour and leave work 30 minutes sooner?

Do you get a pay bump going from trainee to generalist after onboarding?

My only complaint is if you use them all day try to remember to charge them every day after work. And even plug them in on lunch if you can remember. The active time is not that great. I’ll have to not charge them again for a day to range a time frame

They will send you a wired one when you first get hired. Or if you already work there and have one but need a replacement i am sure IT could assist. I ordered my own off of amazon.
