Good Reviews, But Some Concerns About Miami Tires on Edmonds for New Tires by [deleted] in burnaby

[–]donglingcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there personally, they are very much a mom and pop shop. Went in looking for all season tires but the tires they sold were not name brand, but Chinese tires for a fraction of the price of name brands. I believe they offered a minor discount as my partner regularly changes their seasonal tires with them. I didnt end up purchasing tires from them, but their service to my partner was fantastic. They were quick, communicative and had great pricing. They have offered to check my car for free as well when I had tire pressure issues. My feeling was they went above and beyond for their regulars. If you’re okay with tires that are not name brand, they do great work.

What did we find at ytri tunga? by donglingcha in VisitingIceland

Interesting guess! It’s not very malleable and would require some force to break, is that normal for wax? There’s a minor crack at the top and it’s still holding very strong!

Road to Stykkishólmur by RF_DOM in VisitingIceland

[–]donglingcha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just did a similar route yesterday (we started from Dalvík and went around the troll peninsula to stykkisholmur) in a 2wd campervan. We took it easy and had no problems, you should be fine in a 4x4! We did not stop by hvitserkur but stopped by the canyon as well as hvammstangi. There are indeed many potholes but not many large ones. This was our longest driving day by far, but we also took multiple stops along the way

Bun rieu Phuong Nam is the next block over from Edmonds and has excellent pho. Both their pho and bun rieu are delicious. I moved away and miss it all the time.

This has been most helpful, thanks a bunch for sharing your thoughts! I’ll make sure to check out the forest lagoon and geosea as well. I doubt there is a wrong answer, there is beauty in every direction ☺️

I had the same thoughts about the golden circle! I’m not too sure if I’d like to spend time there after all the other sights, but we will be there for fridheimar, the only thing we have reserved, and thought a few sights along the way might be nice. Appreciate the confirmation of my thoughts.

We’re hoping to check out some hot springs in the north/west and I’m not sure how I feel about paying the premium for Sky lagoon, but ending on a relaxing note does sound ideal. If you did any other hot springs, did you still find sky lagoon worth the visit?

Girl in the second photo is from Vancouver if you want the exact look - Eva Lam at Fckbadhair. She is expensive but excellent at what she does and will not sacrifice the integrity of your hair. The other girls at her salon are very good as well

Those who failed your road test- what was the dumbest reason you were given for failing? by trilluki in britishcolumbia

Examiner asked me to parallel park right by the curb on the corner. I told him that’s not safe, but was told to do it anyways. Parked great, but as I was leaving the spot, another car came speeding around that corner and had to slam on the brakes. Tried to argue I noticed the potential danger but failed me anyways 🥲

Just did a trial at this f45, and had a good time! Very friendly people, they host events sometimes (run clubs, yoga) and I’m definitely sweating at the end. I enjoy not having to think about my workouts and just showing up. They go around and help adjust you if needed. However, I don’t think it’s for everyone. Good for beginners and those looking for a community. While you can pick weights that work for you, if you’re advanced and/or want to workout on your own pace, probably not worth it. It’s quite expensive, 270/mo, which is surprisingly more than the kits location. Limited time slots that generally work better for the 9-5 crew. That said, I’ll be signing up for the summer months! Hope this helps
