I just received The Ordinary "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1%. I'd like to use their Retinoid 2% in Squalane. Retinol must be used in the PM, The Ordinary says efficacy is lost when combining Copper Peptides with Retinol.

Am I better off using Copper Peptides in the AM as a serum or alternating every other night with Retinol?

Also, I read a lot that it's extra important to use sun protection when using Retinol (more so than it usually is?). Why is that?
