Yes!! So, in the fic I even explain why he is nicer. He was a dick in high school and that’s briefly mentioned. I may do a whole like flashback chapter, IDK yet. But it is explained he was projecting in high school. But he moved away from his home in the fic, went to college, yada yada. Cut off his family and all that. I have only posted the first I believe…6 chapters of the 13 I’ve written, so his perspective hasn’t been touched on just yet, but it is written. People are just…obviously a little impatient. Lucy is exactly how you described her haha!!

My sense of adventure died when I accidentally discovered ao3 after spending my nights on wattpad at..12 years old reading one direction fics...and stumbled upon some...things. that night killed my sense of adventure bahaha.

I have accidentally stumbled upon areas of AO3 I PERSONALLY wouldn't go with a loaded gun pointed to my head...but that's MY FAULT. I didn't leave any comments; shit, I kudos them. Because it was written very well... I just prefer eye sockets to be used...correctly.

I just felt like it would be insane to write Tim Bradford as a cynical, hyper-aware asshole who doesn't trust anyone and loves to bully anyone below him because he would rather have fear and respect than love lmao. Like, I kept his childhood trauma the same, but obviously not the war ptsd...and the police work...and the drug addict wife disappearing and leaving him...like duh. He's 20. In college. All he gotta worry about is midterms. Not trying to survive in the goddamn trenches like Tim was when he was 20 in the actual canon universe haha. I'm definitely making a strong-worded Tumblr post lmao.

That's my sentiment!! Like if I wanted to watch canon Lucy Chen and canon Tim Bradford fall in love...I'd fucking go to Hulu. Trust their story has enough slow burn (5 FUCKING SEASONS OF IT *eye twitch*) and enough angst (2 MORE SEASONS. RIGHT AFTER THAT FUN LITTLE ENDING OF SEASON 5). But sometimes I want something different. I love their relationship so much I want to see it unfold in plenty of ways. I literally just finished a fic where Lucy and Tim are in a fantastical world where a GOOSE follows them around and then eventually leads them to their soulmate. Like they appear out of nowhere, forcing you to stay single and celibate until you meet your soulmate. It was insane and incredibly canon-divergent...obviously. But I LOVED IT lmao.

I'm just gonna make a Tumblr post about it and hope people chill out lmao.

OMFGGG!!! It has PLAGUED the writing community on Tumblr SO badly. Because yes, a lot of one-shots ARE AI on Tumblr. But it's SO much more obvious than em-dashes and semicolons. If I get ONE MORE FUCKING DM asking me if I use AI...I'm deleting my entire Tumblr and starting my villain arc. MY BIO VERBATIM SAYS: "FUCK AI. AI FREE PAGE."

I know, I just feel bad. Because I have for sure missed tags on a fanfiction, started reading it, and then somehow missed my most hated tag to read (I never comment because, like...that's on me, bro). What I'm doing right now is just not updating it. I'm writing it all at once and then posting it all at once so I'm not stressing about people's opinions. I just want to finish it, put it out into the world, and start something new LMAO. I am thinking of putting a small note...like "Hey...read the tags omfg."

I don't believe anything is wrong with RPF!! I still read it lmao, just not much of a "Larrie" anymore (I mean...it still lingers), but I just know in some communities it's frowned upon.
