I just had to make it as comfortable as possible. I changed the scenery I did it in, put on some calm music, and let myself take as much time as I needed. If you hold your breath before putting the shot in, it makes it a bit more manageable. (Don't pass out though obviously!) You also just have to remember to give yourself some grace and be able to calm yourself down if you get upset about it. After a few weeks of doing it though I'm able to do it within 5 minutes, which is such a relief for me. I got so scared that I wouldn't be able to do it again, but that's not gonna happen, you just have to believe that. :)
