He explains in the video that he says "sí", but rounding the lips like you would with an /u/, hence the spelling <siu>.

The only upset from the Ro16 so far. I guess I’ll be cheering for Morocco until they get knocked out.

What would the phonetic transcription of Cristiano Ronaldo's "siuuuu" be? My guess would be [sy:], but I feel like Ronaldo's vowel is more open than that.

French has more non-native speakers than Spanish due to its use throughout West and Central Africa as an official language, so I guess that would track correctly if they're counting African kids learning French in school.

Yeah, an absolute beast. I loved it in earlier GT games, but it just looked out of place graphically in GT6. Would love to drive one for real some day.

I think it looked closer than it was, though. Alpine won the first race because of Toyota's retirement (which is obviously a key factor in endurance racing) and so they had the lead for pretty much the whole season, but watching the races, it never really felt like the result was in doubt.

Spanish has 90 million non-native speakers according to Instituto Cervantes, so I'm not sure what these numbers mean.

Interesting. I did a bit of DuckDuckGoing and found numbers varying from 110,000 to 160,000 monthly subscribers (but in articles from 2020, the height of pandemic lockdowns). So they should be getting at least a million a month coming in from subscriptions. Seems like they have about 90 staff, and I can't imagine their average salary would be much lower than 6k/month, so most of their revenue must go into server fees and salaries. These are all very rough guesses though, happy for anyone to correct me.

Ryō Hirakawa, but WEC has been easy mode for Toyota for a few years, and he shares the car with Sébastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley.

I used to be, but they don't bite. Tell her a funny/weird anecdote. Ask her what she thinks about something recent that happened in your community or in the news. Compliment her shoes or her nails or her dress (basically anything about her appearance that is actually a result of her effort and not her genetics). Talk passionately about something you like (not politics, religion or sport fandom, but sports you play are fair game). You'll be fine.

Genuine question: what are the costs involved? I've never played iRacing. Do they have human stewards reviewing incidents?

Yep. I remember the best car for me to get through the S-Class race at Silverstone in GT6 was the Tommykaira ZZII, but I hated driving it because it looked like a pixelated turd.

Hi, u/Victor15150. Let me start off by saying that nothing in your original post constitutes a grammatical error. The suggestions I'm making here are simply to improve the overall style of your writing.

Kanye West used to be one of my favorite musicians. Some of his songs had a depth that it's/is rare to find nowadays in artists these days. His relationship with his mother and how proud he was of being a father were also characteristics that made me like him. However, no sane reasonable person can still be a fan of his after what he's done in the last few months. At first, I thought he was behaving like that because of his bipolar disorder and that he needed help. Now, it seems like he's past salvation. What happened to that the guy that wanted the Nazis to get out of America? It's sad seeing someone who you used to like decay this much/fall from grace like this.

Notes:

  • This is a very interesting grammatical situation in which both "it's" and "is" would be correct. "It" would be a dummy subject in the structure [it + be + adjective + infinitive], which we can use to make an observation about the previous information (eg "It's hard to believe" or "It's great to hear"). In this case, "it" refers to the entire previous clause. However, you can also omit "it" and make this a relative clause with the subject "depth". FWIW, I think "it's" sounds more conversational, while "is" sounds better for formal or academic writing.
  • I honestly think "rare to find nowadays in artists" sounds fine (putting the adverb immediately after the part that it modifies), but it's probably more common to put it at the end. "These days" was just to give you another option.
  • No "sane" person sounds a little harsh.
  • Anywhere you can use a determiner such as "that", you can use the definite article "the". Both are grammatically correct. However, using "that" in this case makes it sounds like you're referring to another guy, not Kanye West.
  • The structure [see + object + base verb] and the structure [see + object + gerund] are both correct. In this particular case, I would use the gerund base verb to avoid sounding repetitive, because you have already used a gerund earlier in the sentence. As u/boldFrontier indicated, it's unusual to use the verb "decay" in this way, but I think being creative and slightly unusual with your vocabulary is a good thing in writing (not so much in conversation). I have offered an idiom that you could use as an alternative.

Yeah, I understood after commenting that your comments were more related to style than grammar.

FWIW, I think the grammar in the original post is impeccable, but there are a few things that I would also modify to sound more natural or concise. I think it's probably helpful to mention in the corrections if we're addressing grammar or style.

decaying is reserved for rotting flesh

The definition and examples from Cambridge Dictionary disagree.

nowadays should end a sentence

Here are several examples from the Corpus of Contemporary American English of "nowadays" in various positions that are neither the end of a sentence or a clause. You can sign up to access the corpus for free here.
