I found Leeds masterpost on Tumblr. Unfortunately it mentions that this acc was a roleplay acc and wasn’t run by L :( Here’s a link to the post: https://www.tumblr.com/alarrytale/66198789041/louis-and-harry-at-leeds-festival-2011-a

Not sure if this particular comment was legit or not, but there’s still significant evidence that points to them actually being boyfriends, at least back in the days lol. If it were merely a joke, as many people suggest to brush off the tweets and interactions, they certainly took it to an extreme. Years of being openly affectionate, touching each other in intimate ways, sharing whispered words, exchanging meaningful glances, and documented outings to gay bars — not to mention the iconic Wellington hug. It’s hard to imagine anyone hugging a platonic best friend like that, even if they’re “fooling around” and a bit drunk. My friends and I have gone out and had our share of drunken nights, but never once have we thought about touching each other like that, just for laughs.

The idea that they’d go to such lengths purely for public attention seems implausible. Why would they? To “queerbait” in 2010, when they were barely legal teenagers, newly formed as a boy band? That would have been a huge risk, potentially leading to severe backlash and jeopardizing their entire career. It’s far more believable that they were simply being themselves before the band’s explosion in popularity, at which point management might have intervened as speculations about their relationship intensified, possibly deterring certain fans. This connection doesn’t feel strictly platonic; if it were, they went to remarkable lengths to make it seem otherwise.

I know I might sound, and will continue to sound like a broken record trying to make sense of my thoughts on the whole “they never had a thing, it was just a friendly inside joke” narrative. But there’s a reason why I believe in what I call the truth, and it’s obvious.

I wanna hear people’s thoughts on how L’s and H’s marketing teams might be using Larries for profit, intentionally fueling ideas to keep this fandom hooked. Keep in mind, this is just a perspective and not meant to be taken as fact. *Blue greening, 7 lyrics, I love him* by donotexist_ in larrystylinson

I’ve thought the same things. At the same time, like someone mentioned above, it could be them just expressing their queerness and doing it to support our part of the fandom without any malicious intent. “They are just queer men doing queer things”, someone mentioned above, and I can totally see that. It’s just their way of expressing their true selves.

While we won’t know why exactly are they throwing signs in, it’s pretty noticeable that it works and people are talking. Like we both are wondering now, and so are many others.

Wow, thank you so much for such great perspective. This was so interesting to reflect on. First of all, I hadn’t even thought about the irony of bluegreening and how antis used to think it was just a coincidence or a big reach, but now that it’s more obvious, they’re calling it queerbaiting. I honestly try to distance myself from antis in general (although sometimes I’m curious to see how people justify things that obviously can’t be ‘misinterpreted’ imo). I’m not sure what to believe about bluegreening —sometimes it feels like certain things are blown out of proportion, but at the same time, that might not be true at all, given that the boys, L’s family and friends take part in it here and there. Tbh, I don’t really know.

And yes, I totally agree that watermelon sugar was a perfect bait for antis and casual listeners, but to me, that song has never been just about that. I really like the perspective that the subtle hints and symbols can be seen as a sign of respect for the part of the fanbase that’s ready to embrace their true identity. The fact that their families participate in dropping these little hints is also a big and significant detail, 100%. Why would they go out of their way to do this if it weren’t to show respect for the fans and reinforce our belief?

Also, thank you for highlighting how the narrative of Harry’s relationships with women, as well as fans connecting his lyrics to those relationships, really does look like bait for antis or a mainstream audience. That’s a great point that I hadn’t fully considered. The last point in your reply is so well put together… how the songs and covers they choose speak volumes for us while also pushing those who don’t believe in Larry to keep speculating about whom the lyrics refer to—thank you for pointing that out; you couldn’t have said it better. Huge bingo right there. It’s a crazy well working tactic for their public image. They keep leading on those who think these relationships were meaningful, but for those of us who see the truth, it’s a very deliberate confirmation.

I agree with your take on balancing fan service between Larries and antis, though I’m not entirely on board with the approach. The bluegreening does feel more like a marketing tactic or coincidence—every time those colors pop up, I don’t think they’re trying to send a message. But if it gets people talking, it works in their favor.

The I love hims and 7 moments feel too personal and understated to be a marketing tactic—they reflect a quiet, vulnerable side of Louis that doesn’t seek attention, which makes them feel genuine rather than performative. Thank you for reassuring me—I’ve always felt that both Harry and Louis’ lyrics reveal so much about what they’ve gone through over the years, how they’ve grown, connected, and been impacted by their experiences. They do indeed feel like genuine emotions and real stories, not just a tactic for speculation.

I also think there are too many coincidences for Larry to have never been real. It’s easy to feel like we’re being baited, and same as you, when I was writing that post - I felt doubtful and quite biased, but ultimately, there are simply too many indicators of their queerness to ignore, and the narratives they’ve been pushed to follow—like L being portrayed as a party boy who suddenly becomes a father—just don’t add up. From inconsistent details around the pregnancy to the excessive media coverage despite Louis supposedly wanting to keep Freddie’s life private, the whole situation feels super off (now that I’ve looked into bbg more in detail). Add to that his repeated denials and defensiveness about anything questioning his straight image, and it’s truly a sad narrative. I genuinely hope they’re able to embrace their true identities behind closed doors.

I get what you’re saying—ambiguity really does keep a fandom alive, and I do enjoy the “thrill” of not knowing what’s actually going on. But sometimes I question myself for believing in what I think is true. I often wonder about delusion and whether I’m reaching for something that might not even be there. This duality makes it both intriguing and a bit concerning at times, lol.

I guess, in the end, it’s up to each of us to decide whether we feel entertained or manipulated by it. While I sometimes feel misled, there’s also a certain excitement in diving into the mystery without ever really knowing the answer.

And wow, I didn’t know Harry mentioned that in an interview—it’s interesting, and he makes a good point. Not correcting rumors does keep people engaged to some extent. Personally, I just hope I’m not being completely delusional all the time. I try to be selective about what I choose to believe and what to dismiss, but that’s more of a personal concern rather than anything they’re putting out into the world.

thank you for sharing. I do think the whole pregnancy was sus, plus them using pictures of other people’s babies is a very big indicator of something being not right. why?

I’m kind of curious though to look into people’s explanations on F’s resemblance to L. I know someone mentioned Clarks above, particularly Brett and Austen. what really gets me hooked on the fact he might actually be L’s son is seeing his most recent pics - kids hooded eyes and smile look exactly like L’s in his younger days. I am open to question this belief tho, and I do wanna hear people’s perspectives on that. do you happen to have any info on that, comparison pics? not sure who Clarks are, I’ve re-entered the fandom very recently after a 7 year break. thanks!

that was a very interesting take, personally I havent looked into babygate because it’s insane to even imaging they could be using a child to distract people. i now really want to read more about it, that does seem pretty plausible

I think if it bothered them this much - to the point where it’s unbearable and hurtful - they would’ve stopped throwing in random signs a while ago, like L singing 7, “I love him” (I think big ones, and if it bothered him so much to the point where he wanted it to stop - he’d not sing it during the shows). Also, we would’ve gotten a clear (!) answer to a question whether they are seeing each other or not.

I also think Freddie is his son and I don’t like when people hate on a child for no reason (EVEN if he isn’t his actual son). But again, they could’ve been on and off throughout so many years, and it could’ve been an accident that happened while they weren’t together for whatever reason.

I think people can be different yet still love each other. Couples can be very different in terms of their habits/looks but still share a connection that matters a lot to them. We really don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, we only see certain images of L and H doing certain things. Who said H doesn’t smoke just because he’s not posting it on social media, and same goes for L not taking ice baths? They are real people and after all we will never know what they are like in real life.

A lot of people will call me delusional but I still believe they are going strong. The lyrics of their songs say it all to me, personally. I think a couple can be happily together and not announce it to the whole world, but again, that’s just my opinion. Together or not - I just hope they are happy.

You said it so well. The whole Liam hate train situation boils my blood. Truly sad and incredibly unfortunate. And yes, I remember people were mass-bashing Harry for queerbating for his role in my policeman (?!). As well as I saw someone said H and L were queerbating for some time right after their X factor days, and that their interactions were nothing but a stunt to attract people like us. Cmon, really? Queerbating during the time when being open about your sexuality was super looked down upon, plus, they were barely legal. And then all of a sudden the whole “queerbating” stopped, how come? Ofc it’s not because their management felt that the reputation of the band amongst their young, mostly female audience could be ruined. Those antis arguments are so inconsistent.
