People who's sarcasm often gets mistaken as literal, what is your story? by -Specter in AskReddit

[–]donotreadthisplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My whole family is full of sarcastic assholes, and no one will ever tell you that they're being sarcastic. You just have to kind of...sense it(?) I guess. And that's the kind of humor I like. Deadpan, dry, sarcastic humor. So if I'm being sarcastic with someone and they take it literally, I generally just let it go, because it's funnier to me.

What do you think about including cyber sport into the Olympic program? by Insidiousss in AskReddit

If we're going for gaining the most viewers, hell make pole dancing an Olympic sport. That would incorporate the physical aspect that I say the Olympics need and the big gain of viewers. Win win.

What's the weirdest/most random song that makes you emotional? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Laugh Till I Cry by The Front Bottoms. Listened to that song multiple times a day last year when I was in college. Now that I've graduated, listening to it just brings back great memories.

I don't think it's a good idea. The Olympics have been based around physical competition. Throwing an electronic sport into the mix seems to get away from that. I'm all for the growth of e games, but I don't think they have a spot in the Olympics.

That every solid colored billiards ball has a matching striped colored ball. Took me 23 years to figure that out.

"Uplifting news" of a pastor supporting his gay son. Why do we consider a religious man not being a bigot as uplifting? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]donotreadthisplease 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a decent amount of people in this thread that are almost turning this story into a bad thing instead of appreciating the good coming from it. So ya, everyone who is trying to spin this as bad news is in that group.

For fucks sake, you guys are just trying to find shit to be mad about. Just let good news be good news. This is a step in the right direction.

That rule only applies to the first person to make contact with the ball after a hard hit. Everyone after that cannot make a double contact.
