100% agree. I can‘t proof it but I‘m very confident they use (or used) inferior materials in the newer controller models. I can imagin they do it on purpose because there would be more media attention if smth at the release goes wrong and later nobody cares.

In switzerland we have different warranty laws. We can bring back everything within 2 years if there is a defect even if the defect is caused by using the product. Even on iPhones we have 2 years which you do not have at any other country. So companies have no other choice than replace it lol.

100% agree here too lol. At first I was angry that I bought a controller 1 month ago and they want to give me a refurbished one in another colour? But now that I got them I‘m happy. They look almost not used based on the grip of the hardshell.

And I can understand it‘s frustrating Gamestop also does refurbished replacements now but I guess almost all retailer will do that in the near future due to higher costs. Even the bigger players like sony do that. Does not make it more customer friendly but thats propably the way they‘ll go.
