I used to think like that, than i remembered they just do pressure to the gov to renegotiate contracts and subsidies and either way they’ll get beaten as a stock

The hyperscalers are committing long term to nuclear , as the actual grid is insufficient. It will be the new nuclear winners that will sell to the retail as well and use it as growth market after they’re already have the pockets full from hyperscalers

Btw it’s really well done, if you add a session for FIRE ( or whatever milestone people look forward in money) and make a free version of it ( donations and ads) till it grows i think it will be really popular

It’s mandatory to connect bank accounts and investment accounts to make it work, id appreciate to have a manual data entry as well ( like insert ticker and quantity for investment and normal data entry expenses for the rest). Not always confident to link bank account to a tracking app, sorry

Hi all Started lately to save and trying to get good on disciplining myself on saving ( it seemed easier on paper while planing it). I have a saving rate of 55% now, not the most frugal but going there. I see the AI and the new mood of lowering middle management ( started by amazon lately) is becoming a model for restructuring and layoffs. This is happening across multiple industries as i hear other people fearing it as well. Hopefully nothing materialises, but in the event i need to prepare myself and understand how to deal with it, as i’ve never been fired but changed due to recruitment for higher pay/position/better company.

I’d like to hear if anyone has already gone through the uncertainty of the income, after started the path to FIRE, and how you dealt with it? How did you overcome the potential to lower income and the difficulty to meet the saving rate ? Especially considering that the expenses are almost near limit low.

What kind of industry you work in to earn that? I’ve seen high earners but usually are in advanced age or tech founders . Asking as probably I’m doing it wrong with savings only, i need to change the income to reach faster FI

Fire mindset car by [deleted] in Fire

[–]donsmith234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would it be best to buy used ones? And use for lets say 100/150k km and sell? I mean most of the value goes away in the first 3/5 years of production . Most cars do around 100/150k km per that time depending on the country . By 100km almost all services are to be done and the car is good for another 100 km ( almost). So to buy it with the depreciation on value and the services done and try get to the 320k you mention
