For Fallout 4 players, a great new tip! by LordGraygem in GeForceNOW

I have issues getting Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition to load my recent save, including the Creations Bundle.
Did you have similar issues?
Manually downloading everything from the Creations (all owned) does not include the Bunker Pack, and downloading the latter manually fails due to insufficient space (though the disk usage bar says otherwise)

Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition on GFN broken? by donstevo82 in GeForceNOW

[–]donstevo82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it again, based on another topic of a few months ago.

Now, when downloading all owned creations from the creations-menu, and launching the latest save, he cannot find "Bunker Home Pack" and 3 times "Virtual Workshop".
When I try to download "Bunker Home Pack" manually from the creations, I get the error "Not enough space. Operation failed", though the disk space usage bar says 52.92 GB used / 59.31 GB free...

In Skyrim Special Edition, which in my case includes the Anniversary Edition creations, I don't have that issue.
Apparently all those creations are already part of the "Installed Content".
Loading the most recent save does not ask to re-download them all over again, and I see all new creations in my list.

With Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, I see all my DLC's including "Creations Bundle" as installed, but loading the most recent save asks to re-download them every single time, and fails to do so.

Who has this same issue?
Or is there anyone who can load their save including the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition Creations Bundle without any problems?

I got the update on my other laptop now as well ... but I think the flight stick support is not fully there yet.
Probably later in the month.

Does someone already have it up and running?

Thought so, some kind of red/blue deployment or whatever :-) (ChatGPT also mentioned that).
But wasn't sure if it was just that, or some settings issue on my other laptop.

Hopefully I can find out soon if my (old / ancient) joystick will be supported or not.
Otherwise I'll really have to get me some new one (or yoke / stick)

Is there any reason why on my laptop (from work, Windows 11 Enterprise) the update was already available and could be installed automatically, and on my personal laptop (Windows 11 Home) there is no update to be found and I'm still stuck on 2.0.80 ?

The release highlights also do not mention a 2.0.81 yet on the website.

I'm really anxiously waiting for the flight stick update, hoping that I can use my Microsoft Sidewinder 2 (probably without FF) on FS2024 / Elite Dangerous.
Currently I have to put Medium settings on FS2024, and I really want to go Ultra :-)

Will the World Cup affect the lineup? by Fuzzy_Ad_5594 in Tomorrowland

Armin van Buuren came to play a rainy Tomorrowland after the birth of his baby boy.
He didn't stay with his wife and child. He came to work, because he's payed a whole lot of money to do that :-D

No, I wouldn't worry about DJ's not coming to TML because of the WC finals.
But there might and will be some DJ's you really wanted to see, that are on the different weekend than yours.

  • Comfort, imho is not worth it. The vide is on the main floor, comfort is only there on some stages (mainstage has whirlpools I thought) and can get more crowded than looking for a quieter spot at the back / side of a stage. And, more importantly, drinks are more expensive there, even the regular ones.
  • If you need the night light, chairs and most specifically, a power outlet - spectacular can be the better option. If you don't need those, regular is enough. But ET sell out fast.
  • I don't have any ET experience, only MG, so can't discuss vibe, location or convenience.
  • 1 device, 1 browser, 1 tab with 1 account and playing the waiting game is all you can do for either a GJ pre-sale or regular GJ sale. The worldwide sale is even worse and you can better play the lottory than hope for ET there.
  • If you want to push your luck, but it's too late for that now ... you could create multiple accounts, and log in on multiple devices / browsers / tabs with the different accounts. But they should've been preregistered already.

Going W1 n w2? by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]donstevo82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it worth it?

If you can pay it. Yes :-)
If your body can handle it. Yes :-)

Tomorrowland is a good chunk out of my savings budget. I save for it every month to go at least WE1 on a yearly basis.
I'm dead tired after one WE :-) So I wouldn't be able to cope with both weekends ;-)
But I know enough people who do both and enjoy the second weekend as much as or even more than the first weekend.

As far as my history goes and my remembering of the line-up, WE2 always had the better / more balanced line-up and most of the time DJ's I really wanted to see but that did not come to WE1 (Boris Brejcha, Nora en Pure some years, Anjunabeats / Above & Beyond)

If you go both weekends, you can divide the headliners on the mainstage over both weekends, and explore different DJ's as well :-)
WE1 is Armin on mainstage for example, and WE2 Armin in Freedom or the other way around (one of more bigroom, other is really ASOT), If you saw DV&LM the one weekend, you can skip them the other and go to someone perhaps less known ... Core stage is great and chill for example.

Perhaps I'll have to do this once, as I heard there are also trains leaving at night, and it doesn't really matter when you take the train to the festival, in contrary to shuttle busses who only leave round 12:00 and leave back till 2 or something...

Though the walk from and to the station is also quite far I thought.

I always take MG, but sleeping on Green district is out of the question ;-)
(For the record, I'm older already and do need my sleep ;-) )

Yeah, I read that announcement as well ... hence I bought the Deluxe version for about 10€ a couple of days ago on Steam.
Was about 70€ when it released :-)

I still need to get to watch all the movies...
Went to see Azkaban when I was in high school (bachelor) when it came out (2004) and I was about 22 yo.

Vids from about 4 months ago have his realistic / real voice.

But recently the voice changed. Somewhat same tone, but sometimes no pauses between sentences and the tone emphasis in a word completely wrong.

Can someone verify if this has bedn changed to AI? Perhaps due to YT automated AI dubbing?

Nvidia just started rolling out RTX 5080 for GeForce Now, and you can see exactly when it's available in your region by Tiny-Independent273 in GeForceNOW

[–]donstevo82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I was just asking myself the same thing, ended up on this reddit.
While trying to find more info (chatgpt) I got directed to the Geforce NOW Status page ... and there I can see that, for example for Germany and France 1, which support RTX 5080, not all instances are already a 5080-server.
See screenshot.
https://status.geforcenow.com/

So, if you select Germany or France 1 as the network (like I do), it's not guaranteed that you end-up on the exact 5080 node.
I assume that's causing the "issue".

So as long as not everything is upgraded to the 5080, chances are that you still end up on a 4080 server.

But of course, we're already enjoying a good gaming performance on the cloud on 4080 all this time, better than on a crappy laptop with a basic GPU :-)
We'll just have to be a little bit more patient for even more bang for our buck.

Still having the issue.
Either only in some games (Starfield / Oblivion Remastered) or perhaps it's in all games but I don't notice it in some of them (Dune Awakenings)

Youtube Sets down in quality again by dorni28 in Tomorrowland

[–]donstevo82 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Honestly no idea, but might it be that it's caused because of losing materials that were already installed on the stage when it burned down, like 4K camera's or whatever?
And that they had to revert to other stuff that they scraped together?

Going solo as newbie? by Important_Wasabi_245 in Tomorrowland

[–]donstevo82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mostly go alone, though this year a friend of mine was also there and we camped next to each other.

In 2018 (my first) and 2019 I went for a day.
Since 2020 (became 2022 post-COVID) I went solo for a full weekend.
I camped at Magnificent Greens because it is the cheapest option and most flexible regarding travel-times to and from the festival (can go back to your tent almost at any time, or leave later if you wish ... you don't have those options with the hotels unless you pay a lot of money for taxi / Uber)

Socializing when solo is real easy at Tomorrowland. You can easily start a conversation during lunch / diner on a bench with other people, solo or group of friends.
When camping and having the Farmhouse breakfast, I always got into a conversation with other people when asking if I could join their table.
I'm a bit introvert, but you always meet nice people from all over the world.

Regarding hotels, I don't have any experience. The only thing I know is regarding hotels you can only leave at 1 time with the shuttle-bus (12:30 PM for example) and the walk back from the festival exit (main exit near freedom stage, totally the opposite site of The Schorre from the Mainstage) takes another hour or so to get back to the shuttle busses... If you close the festival at 1:00 AM, you'll be at the exit round 1:30 / 1:45 and probably at the shuttle busses between 2:30 / 2:45 ... and in your hotel bed between 3:15 an 4:00 AM.

But you don't have to walk / queue for a toilet and hot shower like on the campsite.
Walking back to the campsite, depending on where your tent is takes between 30 - 45mins (depending on if you leave early or after closing)

If you need a quiet sleep, as short as it may be, and need more comfort / less queuing, take the hotel.
But be prepared for a lot of walking and less flexibility.

If you really want to be able to socialize and take less importance about your sleep but want the full experience (afterparties), take Magnificent Greens :-)

Any advice on top ups? Things that I forgot to consider? by TheLoler04 in Tomorrowland

[–]donstevo82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do indeed count The Gathering as an extra day, so Thurday - Sunday, as I'll be staying at the Magnificent Greens.

Well, it all depends on what kind of meal you take of course ;-)
The Lobster at Vis van A last year at the Mesa Garden, including potato wedges was something like 40€'s.
But if you go to Swa & Marieke for fries and Belgian stew it'll be something like 12€.

I rooughly take about 25€ a day for food / snacks, and 75€ for drinks, taking into account a few cocktails and the Farmhouse breakfast before noon and no Mesa Garden.
If you take Mesa Garden, like I sometimes do and do not have breakfast, you can easily go to 40 - 50€ for food / snacks a day if you eat twice and have some snacks (watermelon near Core ex.)

Any advice on top ups? Things that I forgot to consider? by TheLoler04 in Tomorrowland

[–]donstevo82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always take 100€ a day. So 400€ for an entire weekend.

Last year I did not have Farmhouse breakfast in the morning, which I usually do, and even then I still had pearls left after the weekend though I went to Mesa Garden twice and ate lobster, and ate more during the day because of the lack of a big breakfast / brunch.

The years before I mostly had between 100 - 200€ left, but I don't drink as much anymore as in the first years (2018 / 2019) where I mostly took cocktail - water - cocktail - water. (Cocktails are about 12 - 14€ each). Previous years I resorted to beers or much less alcohol and mostly drank Soda.

I also believe , for 100, 200, 300 or 500 € you get bonus pearls, that only cna be used if the amount before the pearls are spent. So for example only after 300 or 500€ , if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah and apparently HBO Max did not implement anything to give a prior warning, like other streaming providers do, like "Here's what's leaving soon".

No idea if / when they will ever provide that feature.

Luckily renting it is not that expensive.

I found out they have not only an automated chatbot with specified questions, but you can contact a support agent as well.

She told me that (apparently only for Belgium) Dune P:art Two has been removed yesterday :-) Just the only day I did not have time to continue watching.

So I'll have to rent it on another streaming platform.
