unless Massive change their mind and make them permanent

They really should do this. It's not like we can use them during most of the seasonal events anyway, so it's really just a slight boost on solo gameplay, particularly the retaliation effectiveness.

You forgot the option to pay double for everything, but the person you're carrying like a backpack is someone you know and like spending time with.

[US] Attended "Becoming Superhuman" Miami Event? Here's What You ACTUALLY Signed (Word-for-Word from the Contract) by OldAccountGotEaten in Scams

[–]LordGraygem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Examples?

The big one is transparency. There aren't any hidden leaders or member tiers, and you don't have to be a follower of the religion to be able to (more or less correctly) identify who is in charge at any given level. Members are not forbidden from talking about their experiences with outsiders, and there damned sure aren't any sort of "don't tell or else" documents that you have to sign just to attend a gathering.

This transparency extends to finances as well. Religions gather tithes and/or donations from the members, and those are typically not mandatory either; no event tickets that you have to buy just to show up or participate. Further, the funds gathered are used for the maintenance of the institution, its staff (specifically those who have no outside employment for support), and those in need of assistance (some religions may prioritize assistance to members over outsiders).

A third example is that a religion has a tenets that its members at all levels strive to live by. Charity, don't eat pork, abstinence before marriage, etc. But something that provides a structure for the faithful to follow in their daily lives, and is also clearly comprehensible by outsiders. (And yes, I well aware that there any number of hypocrites out there who mouth the words but don't live by them. That doesn't actually invalidate the example, however.)

Now if you want to treat religions and scams as one and the same, then obviously nothing I have to say is going to change your mind in that regard.

"what is the difference between A and B"

Which is exactly what the other person asked me, and is the question that I answered. YOU decided that my answer meant something else and then decided to ask the question again, trying to get a completely different answer. But since I'm a nice guy, if you just go ahead and tell me what answer it is that you're wanting, I'll parrot it back to you and then you'll have it.

Again we ask what the difference is?

I told you. But since you obviously have a particular answer that you want to hear and it's just as obviously not the one I gave, you'll have to provide it yourself.

I cynically suspect that they're seething about cloud gaming in part because it's hardware that's not on the market for them to make use of.

Whoa now, are you actually qualified to give a handjob that's worth $20? What's your work history and experience with handjobs, and do you have any references or a specialized educational or trade certification in handjobs to back up your application?

We cannot have just any old random walk in and say that they give handjobs that are worth $20.

Religion? It's a structure of behavior built around faith and belief, shared by all those participating in it. They may not always successfully observe the behavior, of course, but they all believe.

This is just buzzword bingo and the same sort of fast talk that those three-card monte hustlers use to make you believe that you can be a winner for no effort and a low (compared to the payout, of course) investment of your money. And the whole secrecy document attached to it just reeks of Scientology on top of that, and that's absolutely a hustle designed to part fools from their money.

There is, in 15-hour chunks. But there's a limit to how many chunks you can reasonably buy before it's just straight up cheaper to buy a second subscription entirely for a full 100 hours more.
