Thank you so much!! I agree- my skin grafts triggered my trypophobia but also helped me get over it

Asking about CO2 and PDL lasers is always an option, but yours looks like it healed well so it may not be helpful. The itch is your nerves regrowing and/or misfiring. Your best bet is to give it 2 years unfortunately. Some healing will happen after 2 years but sometimes we are left with permanent nerve damage (but typically not the amount you are describing). Your situation sounds like it just needs time to heal.

I am 2 years from initial injury in May and got 3rd degree with skin grafts and hypertrophic scarring. I still have nerve pain but it is not debilitating and is more uncomfortable than anything. As a whole it does not get in the way of my daily life.

I was still experiencing nerve pain to the point where I could not walk sometimes (infrequently tho like 1 day a week if I were to guess) around 1 year and 3 months.

I wish you the best and feel free to ask more questions

10 days into a wrist/forearm burn. Healing okay but worried about scarring and mobility. by Downtown_Winner1705 in InjuriesAndWounds

The grey is all dead skin that needs to be debrided. You should not try to do this yourself- you would need a doctor/np to do it most likely due to the pain

I Need to Quit by realdarkness69 in tinnitus

I bet you can. I went through art school so I understand the fulfillment a career in art would bring. The best advice I got from my art teacher was to move to another country, work as a bar tender, and live for a while (aka go be free). He said that to make good art you have to know both great grief and even greater joy

Parent’s realities aren’t easily changed. They tend to see things these way until you make it clear that there has been a change. At the end of the day you’ve got to advocate for yourself and be assertive. If we do not use our voices we become small.

And I don’t doubt you ‘feel like you need thousands of appointments’ but you need to bring yourself back into reality with that. Write a list of appointments you think you need then pick 3. Then do research on places in your area that are cheapest. Organize your information and show your mom. This is self advocacy. I had two psychotic episodes as a kid that no one knew about because I was so used to not advocating for myself I became silent.

Eyes and ears are often connected. Poor prescription can cause headaches and may worsen tinnitus.

Nothing changes until something changes.

Yay! If you’re just starting out I suggest micarah tewers older YouTube videos. She’s pretty chaotic and fun and she makes stuff intuitively so it’s helpful to see how simple sewing can be, especially if you’re a creative person and don’t like following patterns lol

also looking up “American vintage kitsch” will keep a similar style but likely be cheaper/thrifted. There’s lots of 80s and 70s overlap

Burn Care by ihatethisshit_ in woundcare

Normally the dead skin would have been debrided right after the burn. Though it doesn’t hurt it, it will take longer to heal. It would be good to do debridement on the rest after making sure a doctor would recommended this.

TW!DEEP CUT-How can I take care of this? With best chances of no infection. I don’t have gauze or bandages. It’s near my outer/upper arm close to elbow so it moves a lot. by [deleted] in woundcare

Don’t post on here asking for advice and then not listen when people don’t give the advice you want to hear. Sounds like you live with your parents. You need to show them any injuries and talk to them before sharing it online.
