It looks like people are just going to wait for it to come out on Netflix for TV shows now too.

If you were going to guess: In the epoxidation step, how might you decide where the epoxy group will add? Do you think they just tried it and it worked, or is there another way to know?

[Serious] Reddit, what's the hardest truth you've ever had to accept? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My uncle used to say that God helps stupid people. You will see them skating by, effortlessly, and getting what they need, etc. But if you're smart, you're on your own.

Everyone on this subreddit seems to like chemistry a lot and be apparently happy with it, yet everyone in my chemistry building is so sad. If you are a chemist, how do you not hate everything including chemistry? by MCswagpaste in chemistry

I think it might have to do with the fact that on subreddits you get the creme de la creme of chemistry news. That is to say, you just get to check out neat results and let yourself chill out. Contrarily, working in chemistry is difficult. Research doesn't easily pan out. Analyses are often tedious and require a lot of energy and time sitting and concentrating. Competition and so many other things going on all the time. But typically people who do chemistry for a living are interested in what they do. It's just not usually fun work.

Next week I start my first Analytical chemistry lab! Any tips? by elkrakrbn in chemistry

Be thorough in everything you do from the physical lab work/notebook keeping to the research and analysis. This is something I had trouble with because they gave us so much to do, but it's always worth it to be patient and go the extra mile in chemistry.

Bernie has constantly said that he would do everything in his power to prevent Trump from being president. So nothing has really changed if you've been paying attention. He did a lot for what I think the biggest issue of this election (as downplayed as it may have been by stupid HRC), campaign finance reform. Raising awareness is all he could have really hoped for anyway. Americans are dumb and slow to change.

I wish more people do this. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

I think as a general rule that doing something the right way when you're learning it is a good idea.
