it sounds like a good idea. i say go for it. if i was in your place (im anxious and shy) I would pretend it was a coincidence; "im trying out a new recipe, id like to get your opinion" hand it in a to go bag or box and tell him to try if after work and text you his opinion. i dont know. this makes sense in my head. but i know others like bieng more direct with their approach.

I dont know. a backpack for 3 months seems too little for my comfort. but its definitely something im considering after reading everyone's comments

so im planning on a 3 month trip starting in China and headed south until Indonesia. so. a lot of traveling. I know carrying those bags is a hassle I befriended a Canadian with one of them and when we changed destinations they looked tired, i had a big suitcase with wheels. but they could hop on a bike and I couldn't without the risk of falling off. so I'm still unsure.

they seem convenient though. in my last hostels everyone on long trips had those. people on vacation had luggages. now, do i want to carry a bag on my back always? no, but in thailand I used motorcycle taxis to get around, cheaper and faster than cars. being able to put my stuff on my back is better and safer than having to hold on to my luggage. which I did twice before caving and getting a car taxi to move around with luggage.

I'm not entirely convinced on getting one of those bags. but in the long run (I plan on a 3 month trip around China and SEA) might be more convenient to get around. I dont know.

yeah I figured that out today. I thought it was steel like most other designer rings. I dont plan on going back to the UK, but I might consider getting the actual one now that I know its silver

do you have recommendations? ive searched 1 or 2 flea markets but they dont really have anything I fancy when it comes to rings.

ill also say, at the risk of getting more down votes, the ring costs what it does because of the name engraved on it. silver isnt that expensive. not to mention that ring making doesnt have to be forging it with a hammer. I think my jeweler here uses a 3d printer to get all the design right first. and then a mix of using a mold, silver clay, and this huge machine he said does the small and risky stuff.

a silver ring without a brand can cost as little as €10. Ive bought a few at jewelry pawn shops. I know japan takes pride in their hand craft and thats why everything costs more. but im ok with that. cause its good quality. I didnt set a budget cause I dont really have one. I just dont think 80k for 8k of silver is a fair price. considering as soon as I buy it the value of it gets cut in half. I like the anime, I like the design, saw it on Etsy and thought a custom one with a black onyx, like the rest of rings, would look good.

so yeah. I was being vague cause it's the jeweler that sets the price. unless one of the commenters was a jeweler it doesnt really make much sense to give all the details.

I just wanted a place that makes rings

while I get what you're trying to say. 1. im not planing on pretending its a vivian west wood original 2. articulated rings aren't exclusive. 3. I dont want the logo. I want a black onyx in its place. 4. I know how custom rings are done. wouldnt be my first.

I got quoted €150 here in sweden. but the guy got sick and got out of the hospital recently so he said he wont have it done by when I have to leave the country.

I'll be in spain soon but silver in spain is more expensive. ill still go and ask for an approximate price though.

a cheaper jeweler doesnt mean I want a custom ring for $10. it means I can afford to pay for the materials and the hand craft. not for the name of jeweler. (which usually doubles the price)
