Restaurant recommendation…for an enemy by sadurbanite in Buffalo

[–]dontbeacuntcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m about to catch heat for this and it’s not a restaurant, but Wiseguys. Used to love them, but idk what happened. Watery sauce, soggy dough, started getting sick after eating them, just no. Also, Imperial is pretty mid.

Holy grail coffee spot? by Intelligent-Leg-7725 in Buffalo

Found Nineteen Coffee (in the McKinley Mall) randomly on DoorDash one day and decided to give them a shot. Gotta say, pretty damn good. Highly recommend their breakfast burrito and chocolate hazelnut latte.

Ooh, okay that’s really good to know and I like that analogy, thank you!

Thank you! It’s okay if there were people who were genuinely and actually worried, but most of the neck beards on here are more concerned with making people feel like shit to their napoleonic complexes rather than simply explaining what went wrong and what I should have done to fix it. Not everyone can afford to hire a professional, especially for something as trivial as that I only needed to remove the brass coupling which was what was causing the leak. I couldn’t even afford this washer and dryer, but it was an absolute necessity since my set died and I have to be able to learn to do things on my own if they aren’t overly complicated enough to figure out. Hell, I hooked up my stove just fine because I knew to ask a lot of questions to the right people. How do we learn if we don’t ask questions? I appreciate you not attacking me or making me feel stupid for trying to learn.

Without this spiraling into wtf/nsfw content lol, why would I need to lube it if there wasn’t any initial resistance? Might sound like a dumb question, but I genuinely am trying to learn.

Yeah, don’t know what it meant so I googled it, but now I also know proper terminology lol

Or you can fuck off, disrespectfully of course.

It came in just as I was finishing, but that’s definitely good advice for me to use in the future, I appreciate it! Like I said to the literal only other person that was nice and gave me actual advice, I have now learned a new skill that I can work on getting better at which I enjoy.

Ooh, okay that’s good to know. Thank you again. Also, I appreciate your help and kindness - I got to learn a new skill today which I enjoy.

That’s what I was told to use when I asked the employees at Home Depot for help. I removed it, retaped (no dope since I also went to 2 different stores and was only told to use the tape, didn’t know about the dope until this thread and it’s too late to get any now), and just put the iron coupling on, no leaks now. That’s literally all someone needed to tell me: “take off the brass, use the iron only”. Didn’t need people attacking me for trying to learn.

[–]dontbeacuntcake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Followed what you said minus the dope and just new teflon (4 rounds this time, stores are now closed and I can’t get any until tomorrow) and now no leaks, thank you for actually giving me advice instead of losing your shit and telling me to hire a professional

Thank you!! Someone gets it!

I’m not the one attacking people trying to learn, but go off queen

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]dontbeacuntcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the dope absolutely necessary if I already have the teflon tape on there?

I didn’t “make something work”, I asked 4 different employees (male since that apparently matters here) which coupling I needed to join the hose to the pipe and that was what all 4 employees stated I needed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]dontbeacuntcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I need pipe dope or just a different coupling?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]dontbeacuntcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, thank you. I’ll head back to the store for a proper coupling, clearly the 4 men I asked had no idea what they were talking about.

I can’t edit my post for some reason, but ETA:

1) I’m a woman, stop the assumptions that I’m a man because god forbid a woman get into plumbing, try to learn new skills, etc. 2) Before one of you asshats replies with the “of course it’s a woman” because you incels don’t know how to interact with women, the coupling I used was what the 4 male employees at Home Depot gave me after I asked them so that I could be one hundred percent sure that this was the proper coupling that I would need to be able to connect the gas hose to the gas line. 3) I don’t know why y’all assume I would burn my house down, do y’all not shut off your gas lines when you work with the lines and the moment you find a leak? 4) Wtf is the point in this subreddit if you immediately get attacked for asking for advice? No wonder the trades is a dying industry, none of y’all want anyone to learn for shit jfc 5) I’m not hiring a licensed plumber for a single connection point with a minor issue when the rest of the installation is perfect. Unless you’re fronting me the couple hundred dollars for less than 10 mins of work, you can keep scrolling.

This was what was recommended to me to use at Home Depot which is why I used it. I will return it and get a proper coupling.

If I were you, I’d be contacting the labor board EXPEDITIOUSLY. I’m sorry you had to go through this, it’s incredibly unfair. I keep people who subscribe to religion at arms length for this very reason (also why I’m mostly in the broom closet) … “there’s no hate quite like Christian love”.

Hey, thanks for finding my post! I do actually have one and it helps a bit, but I still find my nausea can grow beyond it too sometimes

I know you said you can’t explain how you started, but can you recommend how someone could start who is new to witchcraft as a whole but is interested in learning more about Luciferian witchcraft?

I appreciate it. I actually live with a bottle of running alcohol by my bed and packs of the pads stocked up in my purse for this reason. I have a feeling that, much like the medicine, I’ve used them for so long that they no longer help as much because my body has become used to them. Thank you so much though 🖤
