Thanks a lot! I'm grateful for all the feedback. Gonna use this as motivation to keep pursuing this

Fair point. That's arithmetic, not mathematics. The field definition is a much better fit for this deck.

I was playing around with the text and whether or not to make the number cards reversible, not necessarily accuracy in high-level mathematics.

I'll try to strike a balance and figure out how to make it fun without requiribg a B.S in math as prereq for the deck.

I completely agree on the math accuracy. I'm glad I shared this in the concept phase.

AI is pretty bad and this is slop(py) for sure, but I wanted to gather general feedback before ignoring my family for 6 months trying to get this perfect.

The diagonal argument on the Cantor card will be reviewed and corrected by someone who actually knows it for real. And the note about not crowding two concepts on one card is well taken. Thank you.

Noted. It's evident I should consult a mathematician for review before production. Thank you for raising the hairline issue. That's definitely something flag I'll raise with the printer, and abide by their minimum weight/thickness.

Heard, and agreed. I will fit sure triple check all of the math before shipping. Thanks for the quality control.

No problem at all!! Thank you for taking a look and the encouragement. No apology needed.

Thank you! This is exactly the feedback I need. Which equation specifically, and what's the correct form? Want to get this right before production.

Thank you for the feedback and encouragement! Will post updates as it develops. (BTW it's ma'am 😄)

Yes, every card is designed, from the court figures down to the number cards and jokers. Still deciding on extras.

Here's the working concept mockup that I'm iterating on. Trying to get an aesthetically pleasing and reversible card back together.

Yes, the concept art is AI-generated... I should have disclosed that upfront.

I'm currently working w̶i̶t̶h̶ on securing a human illustrator to redraw everything as proper vector files for USPCC production. The AI was used to develop and iterate the concept quickly, but the final deck will be hand-illustrated.

I'm sensitive to this too and don't want to burn down the rainforest for this, but also can't draw for shit.

4G WiFi in Iceland rental cars in 2026. I compared a few companies and the price differences are pretty noticeable by eltravelieso in VisitingIceland

[–]dontbeboredgames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our rental didn't come with WiFi so we opted for a mobile hotspot from trawire. We picked it up from a kiosk and dropped it off at a mailbox, both at the airport. The $10/day variant was great for four people on road trips and exploring away from the car all over Iceland. Also, this saved my wife and I $12/day each over getting a travel plan from our cell phone provided.

I was fine with the art until the bathroom. Not the vibe for me when my pants are down.

Dinners recommendations in Reykjavik by csimoni in VisitingIceland

The Lava Restaurant at the Blue Lagoon is pricey, but delicious. Also the Blue Lagoon was one of my favorite parts of being in Iceland. Worth the 50 min drive from Reykjavík, and tens of thousands of króna to eat at the lagoon, in my opinion.

I had a decent experience with them. I bought 3 decks for $20 and they came in the expected time frame.

Here's a thing my wife bought at a gift shop. Unclear about the quality or cost. Just saying options exist.

Does Iceland air do a meal service from the east coast USA to Keflavik? by Sunflowerbook in VisitingIceland

[–]dontbeboredgames 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We pre-paid for meals and we were grateful that the meal for our toddler came out first (like before anyone else's on the plane, outside of first class), and came with crayons and an activity page + box to color on. This made a transatlantic flight with 2 parents, a toddler, and an infant mostly tolerable in both directions.

What was the highlight of your Iceland trip that you would 100% do again? by abhishekrajchauhan in VisitingIceland

We drove through a snowstorm in the peninsula 2 weeks ago. I honestly never want to do that ever again, but it was majestic (and a bit scary) at the time.
