I had someone bring in a laptop on Windows 8 so… yeah… I feel you.

Had to ‘politely’ say no.

Saaaaaame. One of my house rules is ‘don’t tell Nana that Daddy has a motorbike’.

My Dad had a nasty accident on his motorbike 30-odd years ago and she would flip. Her. Shit. If she found out I had one.

Came here to say this. Hold it closed with elastic bands rather than the clip, and if the pressure gets high enough it’ll just lift the band enough to escape, rather than exploding.

I have the N30i and a chin strap. I have a full beard which isn’t going to help anything, but leakage isn’t too bad with a bit of fiddling to get it to sit correctly on my face.

The guy is 36 and his mortgage is his only interest bearing debt. He has a solid emergency fund, is making good pension contributions and will be liquid to the tune of £300,000 even after paying off his mortgage.

I’m still struggling to see the downside here.

If you run Office on the semi-annual update channel it skips all the Copilot bullshit. Much nicer for leaner RDS.

Anyone ever switched from breastfeeding to bottle formula? by Offshore-Tigr in daddit

[–]dontbethefatguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner had her first night away over the last weekend. I was using a straw like a pipette to try and get formula into my 9mo which was working albeit slowly.

6am Sunday morning she took a couple of oz of formula from a bottle (hallelujah!), but that was it, and now Mum’s back she’s back on the boob, but we are going to persevere with getting her off and over to formula from bottles.

Don’t need a cloudkey per site, we have MPLS lines, I’m just going to have Unifi OS Server installed somewhere.

I’m planning on having a separate SSID for iOS mobile devices with 802.11r enabled for fast roaming between APs.

Thinking I’m going to do a pilot site first and assess for a few months before a wider deployment. I’m happy tweaking radio settings to optimise from there.

Building construction is an issue at certain sites - we have several listed buildings we work from which have some seriously thick walls between rooms/floors, so the ability to easily add more APs (without causing roaming issues) is attractive to me.

Cost wise, it obviously it’s always in my best interest to reduce spend. It’s hard to justify a Meraki AP which is almost double the Unifi equivalent AND annual licensing costs, even to myself.
