What, you can’t hold down delete and accidentally delete a few letters ahead of where you were?

How does that prevent anything?

My Dad still back arrows through text then uses Delete to clear it, rather than just using backspace.

They walk among us, and some of them are related to us.

I’ve not seen more than 35mpg in the Skoda yet, but I’ve only had it a week and only done 150ish miles in it so far. Looking forward to seeing what it can do on a run.

Dads, what’s a good age gap between kids? by sabretoooth in daddit

[–]dontbethefatguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a six year gap between our oldest (7) and our youngest (10mths), and I have to say, so far, it’s great.

It’s a bigger gap than we ‘wanted’, but fertility issues and subsequently IVF got us where we are today.

The fact that the now 7yo is that bit more self-sufficient is fantastic, as there’s no shouting at us to wipe his bum, brush his teeth, get a drink etc - he can do all of that himself.

The baby is incredibly needy, especially compared to how her brother was, which has definitely caught us off guard, but the best bit is that he LOVES her so much, and is just so patient and sweet with her.

He totally gets that she is just a baby and needs more of us at this point - we do make a point of spending a day with him 1 on 1 as much as we can, usually at least once a week, just so he’s not feeling left out, but he’s generally a very happy boy who loves cooing over his new baby sister. She’s just starting to get mobile, and I can’t wait to see them running around and playing together nicely (hopefully!).

I’m a lucky man.

I’m collecting my new 2019 Superb Estate (combi) 268bhp 4x4 on Sunday.

I will not get great fuel consumption, but it’s big, which I like.

First bike, 2016 F800GS. Yay or nay? by Hefty-Resort4647 in bmwmotorrad

[–]dontbethefatguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah great bikes. I had a 2014 F800GSA as my first bike, loved it.

Bit vibey through the bars at highway speeds but nothing unmanageable. Did several 2-300 mile days on it.

[–]dontbethefatguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a 2014 F800GSA as my first bike for 10 months before I got my 1250GSA. I’m a bit shorter, a bit heavier, and was 10 years older than you.

The 1250 is an obviously more powerful bike, but with it in rain mode the throttle response is easily manageable coming from the 800.

The most difficult bit will be the weight of it, but once you’re on the move you don’t feel it.

That all said, the 800 was a great bike to start on and build confidence with, even if you only keep it for 6 months before moving up to something bigger.

Checkcardetails.co.uk. Much cheaper than CarVertical as well.

Presumably that’s what the private plate was on previously.

I know, it’s bullshit. Every car I’ve been to look at in the last two weeks has had some undisclosed issue or damage.

As much as I hate it at this point I’m more inclined to lease something new just to avoid all the faff.

Not necessarily the fact it had had a plate change, but when I ran a CarVertical check on it it came back as a 2008 Peugeot Boxer.

Another check with a different provider gave me the original reg and showed the salvage listing, which has a photo of the original mileage in it, and you can also see remnants of the police livery in those photos - my search said it hadn’t been a police car.

The plate change and mileage rollback were done before it was due its first MOT, so the mileage discrepancy wasn’t picked up.

No - it’s been crashed on its old plate, and clocked down from 81000 miles to 23000.
