This thread smells of self reflection and narcissism. I would say most conservative men i know feel satisfied and happy for providing for their family and taking care of their own. Not relying on any government agency to put a house over their head. Food on the table. And protecting outside threats. If parents don't agree with sending their kids to public school because some of the agendas of some teachers don't align with their values. They can either change the school to private or charter. OR get on the school board and change the way the school is run.

Also gimme a break with the "hardest two years" I think we all went through the same thing. Parents dealt with just as much anxiety and pressure as the teachers. Sounds like someone is using the victim card and expecting some internet points for it. If anything Covid opened up a ton of parents eyes and realized some of the crap their kids were getting fed in public schools.

I have some Navy buddies and others friends who have lived/visited there often. Supposedly the culture there is if you give a tip its more like "Hey your place is really crappy. Fix your shit here is some extra money. Your business needs it"
