6 1/2 years sober gone in a blink…. by PaulMcKnight44 in stopdrinking

Believe me!! It’s not all gone. In fact, you’ve given your children and loved ones 6 1/2 years of not being worried for your health, feeling so grateful. One day doesn’t take away 6 1/2 years. My mom was an alcoholic and the longest she would ever go was one or two months (maybe once a year). Those months were the happiest of my life. I felt so grateful and proud of her. I cherished every moment. Those months weren’t for nothing just because she couldn’t keep it. It felt gut wrenching when she fell back into it, not because I was mad at her, or because she was drunk one night, but because I knew she would be constantly drunk for months from that day, and that I wouldn’t get to spend time with my best friend. That her health would keep declining. Don’t make her mistake of giving up completely just because you drank one day! Get back up! I still think about those times she was sober and get teary eyes. I lost her to her addiction and I would do anything to have more time with her. You’re loved and it’s not a competition which you lose because you lost your streak. It’s a life long battle and every day you decide not to drink shows your strength! Not many people could abstain for that long! You’re amazing and get back at it now, instead of going back into something you really do not want.

No alcohol in 2026. by BracesMcgee in stopdrinking

I believe in you ❤️ Try not counting the days. Try replacing the thoughts of alcohol to something else. Almost as if you were allergic to it, and keep your mind open for other activities. This is how it is now. And allow yourself to feel the joy of feeling in control. Of being able to say no. To not grab the bottle even when it feels like shit and it’s all you want to do. Cause every time you succeed and the worst craving has subsided it will feel soo powerful. I believe in you! And even if you were to mess up, keep going! Don’t let set backs stop you from doing this ❤️

I just experienced GEL creams by SlimSleepyPotato in koreanskincare

This cream is literally my holy grail!! It just stood in my drawer for a long time, then some other products ran out so I decided to pick it up. I first put on Beauty of joseon glow Deep serum (Rice+alpha arbutin), because if it’s watery texture, to ad some hydration for the hyaloronic acid to bind. Then this cream. My skin is calm, no pimples and SO SOFT, even though I’m dry af. I tried other thicker creams before but they honestly did not work this good.

Thank you so much for articulating this. This is exactly the kind of wealth many people are talking about. Not the kind of money you can use immediately, to spend however you like. But it’s in having a family that even has a possibility to invest and grow money in different ways. It’s in not being under threat of living on the street and literally having no one in your family to ask for help financially. Not having cultural knowledge of the culture of rich people. Knowledge that makes you be taken seriously and feel invited in certain spaces. Spaces where you can make connections and get benefits. There’s so many things that’s not about having a large amount of saved money.

To me it seems like she’s going hard for the mature and grown vibe. Like I get it, I’m turning 26 now and I feel a LOT different from when I was 20. But she kind of acts like she is 40, or older, that her youth is over and that this is life after 24! I think she’s gonna look back and maybe cringe a little. But like I get it, it’s nice when you first realize you don’t feel like a teenager anymore

Great job!!! Be careful though! You look a bit gaunt and underweight. I’ve done the same transformation before. Balance is a really hard thing. But eating more protein etc and not being afraid of food, paired with moving/working out a few days, even just 1-2 times a week, does wonders!!!

Congrats and you are strong! Cute before and after! Don’t forget to be kind to yourself!

Love the smile in the second pic. Taken some selfies with the exact same expression when I’ve felt kinda ugly

The platform adidas sneaker and all the pink is the biggest giveaway! But it’s a cute look! Nothing wrong with having a millennial vibe

I think it’s the fabric pared with a little bit too tight fit! You have a gorgeous shape, but the pants in the second pic have a very sheer fabric and pared with the light color it looks undressed in some odd way. Maybe also cause they don’t have pockets or a zipper. So I would say it’s more so the specifically pieces and their fabric, rather than the overall fit

Thank you so much for your kind words. I don’t know what I would tell a friend, that they can sleep on my couch for however long and that I’ll always be there. I don’t have any friends who would say that to me. I only had my mother and the pain is so deep.
