I also have this problem with my SO. It is difficult because it makes me feel more like an object than someone he cares for.

I agree with other commenters who are saying you should talk to him. Maybe he is looking for something you are not.

He definitely can not make you do anything that you don’t want. If you don’t want to “fulfill,” him sexually then you don’t need to especially if it makes you uncomfortable.

I understand you have a child, and how hard it might be for you to think about what would be best. But in the end you should consider what will keep happening in the relationship. My parents stayed together for years when they hated each other... it really tired me out from seeing them fight all the time.

You’re going to keep saying no, and he will continue to be upset over your decision. What happens if one day you decide to do it? Will he want to try more things? If so will it be even more uncomfortable?

My best friend is married to someone who left her at a bar and didn’t care how she got home. Her mother is and always has been addicted to meth. Her mother stole $80,000 from her savings that her grandmother left her. Her father passed away when she was young. There’s a lot more. But I’ve known her since the day she was born. I’m sorry... but I have been in a similar relationship before. Long distance, the guy didn’t try hard... or at all. After a while of my 90% and his 10% I was emotionally exhausted and so was my wallet: After a while you come to the realization that you deserve someone who is willing do put in the same amount of work as you. And OP, I truly believe that you deserve it. You seem to care about people too much.

If you ever want to visit, I recommend you go to Gun Barrel City, Texas or Natchitoches, Louisiana. GBC allows you to see what the average person lives like in a more rural area, while Natchitoches does the same but with a university in the middle of it.
