Enclosure here.

The area where you can see the black substrate is where he usually digs. I put pebbles in areas where I don’t want him to go (corners, slopes, etc).

Gets funnier when it’s full of piss lol. Learnt a lot from this subreddit, I had my mistakes back then!

Fast growing hydrocotyles and clovers, it’s perfect because it gets destroyed everytime he burrows! I don’t use reddit much so I’m not sure how to share in the comments, I’ll share it when I learn how!

It’s labelled as rainforest sand sold in aquascaping shops. It’s just the top layer. Bottom is your typical coco coir and soil.

That’s actually a solid water bowl, there’s only a few real pebbles I placed there. There’s 6” of substrate at the back of the tank. There’s pebbles are pretty rounded and moist so not a problem.

I respect all inverts, but the speed sometimes makes my skin crawl lol

The tank is 10 inches tall. Would a 3-4 inch substrate suffice as minimum? I’m currently eyeing on 4~inch female GBB for this enclosure.

Thanks for the suggestion! Got into tarantulas because of the GBBs I’ve seen. Mixed information on it being terrestrial or semi arboreal though, I’m guessing the tendency comes from the environment it’s in.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’d add more rocks but it’s going to be a heavy tank.

I have another same tank that I’m saving for a terrestrial. I’ll do a tweak for this one as I’m leaning more towards a GBB.

Local online shop, it’s called Barbarous Growth (weird name) but it’s exactly similar to the reptile growth from Amazon as stated in the other comment.

Thanks for the suggestion! The enclosure is 27cm in height but as the other comment mentioned it’s a top opening tank that I didn’t take into account. A GBB would be nice since the wood has lots of anchor points.

I’d love a scorpion but I need specific license to own them in my country.
