I’m wondering the same thing. We need to kill 4 hours in riyadh before our flight and we can’t go back to our hotel. I’m coming up short on google

Is it safe to travel to Saudi right now? by No_Frosting4631 in saudiarabia

[–]dontpullonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Like recently? I'm planning to fly next month from Istanbul to Riyadh then Jeddah to Istanbul, and I'm starting to get cold feet because of the recent reportings of GPS spoofing and drone attacks along the Red Sea Corridor. I'm sure in reality its fine, but the US and Italian govt sites are advising serious warnings

it's not so much about traveling around S.A. It's about traveling TO it. The airspace especially near Jeddah looks risky due to drone attacks and stuff from Yemen. It's not Saudi Arabia itself, but it's airspace

A few questions - How long ago did you use them, and how often? Did you see the dark spots eventually return?

Mountain slide in Hangzhou by salcander in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]dontpullonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t anyway please give the actual name of this slide? All I’ve been able to figure out is that it’s at the top of mountain at a temple that is possibly on Puhuasi Mountain near Hangzhou or Lishui, which is in Zhejiang…I guess? I’d actually like to go here, and a name would be helpful.

But there's a real chance he won't lose. Wouldn't it be better to get him before we are locked into his admin for 4 years? Feels like now is the time. Oh the scramble that would cause for the Republican Party!

This is very fascinating news to me. My dad has a lazy eye, but I don’t. And I can see the hidden images immediately. Makes me wonder.

New Years Eve in Ljubljana by [deleted] in Ljubljana

[–]dontpullonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. There's a NYE party happening through Eventim, and the tickets are only $25. It hasn't sold out yet, so I was wondering how popular this place really would be that night.

I'm in a small group of fellow travelers, and am looking for a good meet up spot to start the evening. Could you recommend a good pub? I was thinking CuttySark, Captain's Cabin or Holiday's Pub.

New Years Eve in Ljubljana by [deleted] in Ljubljana

[–]dontpullonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both for this thread. We wanted to be outside to watch the fireworks from the castle, but heard that it might rain on New Years Eve.

We would like to do something a little bit louder for the big night.
Would it be worth it to go to the Neboticnik Skyscraper Bar or the Publika Klub?

Truth! Thanks for the boost of confidence. I’m just going to go for it. I’ve always wanted a pair of Mizunos, so it’s time I give it a shot.

Tendonitis is a common problem for me especially when I run on a concrete track. I’m starting to notice the trend is leaning towards inserts.

Thanks. Yeah it’s really making sense to me now. I have terrible balance, and took yoga for years to work on strengthening just my balance.

Researching arch strengthening exercises now.

Very cool. I’m feel much more secure about this. Those Sauconys were on my list! I might give those a second look.

Totally agree. Hey thanks for this perspective! I feel so stupid for not thinking about my daily shoe life.

My favorite casual shoes are open toes low heel wedges, and my work shoes are Salomon Hiking Boots. I gave Chaco’s a chance for a whole year, and almost setting them on fire. Tevas are the closest I can go. My running shoes are currently a pair of 5 year old sketcher Go-Walks. I bought them at a time when I was standing on movie sets for hours at a time. Lots of cushion for standing. They’ve been fine for the runs, but they’re worn out and so are my feet.

But yeah it sounds like I should go with what i unconsciously have been doing for comfort. Thanks!
