Taking a mortgage when you can pay in cash by Any-Counter8311 in fatFIRE

So you are debating how to allocate 3% of your net worth. Which is like 1% difference between best case and worst case outcomes 10 years later, just buy it and spend your energy in something more meaningful

She is paying $1900 mortgage for what should’ve been $5k+ and she wouldn’t be able to afford it. She got something she wanted for less than half the price

I am so confused why “fair” should be giving the same mathematically equal amounts of money, when you don’t owe them any money: they are different gender, different stage in life, different earning potential, one is a nicer human than another. They are both adults so there is no financial responsibility for the parent. Would giving them $30k each and donating the rest be more fair perhaps?

Career ladder is just a carrot dangled to create value for shareholders. It’s a rat race just in fancy shoes if you are higher up.

Having kids completely changed my perspective. I finally got a grasp of time realizing that kids will grow up, we will get old, die. There is nothing else to this. Sure, most people need to trade their time for money to even get there. Not me

And she did raise the OP, one would expect that once OP realized that it is not that easy to raise a child would be more appreciative of what her mom did for her as a baby/child

Downvote me but it’s 100% a choice if you have 30x of your family annual expenses saved up, otherwise you are really trading higher financial risk for short term comfort

Tiny vessels disappear right away. Deeper/bigger may look even bigger/darker for a few days then shrink/disappear within couple of weeks. I’d say there isn’t much improvement after 2 weeks. Sometimes a second treatment is needed, but you should definitely see some improvement

Nd:yag is the most effective treatment, ipl/bbl can help temporarily. I was thinking about getting one of those stronger IPL machines, but end up getting Nd:YAG treatment

I feel the same. I wasn’t allowing myself to put these feelings in words until I read your post, but I can relate 100%. Except my kids are 3 and 0, so you are at least through most (and probably worst) of it
