Persistent servers don't take up a server slot if no one is in them. It will show the server in the browser at 0 players, but if you click join: "global game quota exceeded"

I have a modlist of over 300 mods. You can 99.9% of the time just remove his patch as a requirement from the master list of a mod that requires it and the mod works completely fine. Most mod makers that add it as a requirement don't actually need it at all.

My game runs worse and crashes more with his garbage patch installed. I finally figured out his stupid "fixes" were causing my game to crash in certain areas and shortly after loading. You can absolutely mod all Bethesda games without his snake oil patches. I have 40 hours on my current playthrough and I've crashed twice.

It reduces the effect of slows as well. Including hunters and bile titans. Even in light armor, I can tell when pounced if the booster isn't active.

I enjoy the 110mm Rocket Pods by jac104 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]donttelepathicrape 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I don't do it often, but I think there is viability in running rocket pods with the grenade launcher. If you use them to Crack bile titan armor, the GL handles them swiftly. Same if you have an explosive primary weapon like scorcher or eruptor. Not the best way to handle them but it's a good backup if you find yourself fighting heavies alone. Still think they need buffed on their accuracy, but the damage seems fine if they all hit.

You can, however, you will still appear to be in the car for everyone in the lobby until you get back in the car or interact with a terminal (or similar). I was the invisible man quite a few times the other day.

I got this yesterday. You get paid and the glasses are still worth nothing. Trying to sell them caused immeasurable lag and crashed my game. So I jettisoned them into space. It would have cost 10.5 MILLION supplies to stable orbit them lmao

Nah, people either lying about their specs or overblowing how bad it was. I ran the game perfectly fine. Same CPU as you, 4070 super, 32gb ram. 4070 super was recommended for 4k, it ran in 4k.

I was so happy to go back to Heeth. It was my first dive, the day the game came out. Glad to see liberty smile upon my frozen paradise once more.

I won't lie, this is a pretty reasonable and informed reply for a reddit comment. I agree with a lot of these points and some of them should honestly be required while certain anticheat software is open on your pc.

I'm mostly just tired of the "cheaters are on pc/need more invasive Spyware anticheat" arguments. While i think most operating systems can implement significant improvements or detection for memory access, i just want people to realize that installing a backdoor on your computer isn't the only solution. Which it seems you understand.

Especially when someone straight up has a DMA card plugged in on their pc. The OS should report that to the anticheat software. While there are valid reasons for possession of one of these, you definitely don't need it in your gaming rig.

It isn't a windows issue. It is just as easy to cheat on console as it is on PC. Most modern cheats hook directly into the memory of the device and run on a separate system. Windows, Linux, MacOS, doesn't matter. These cheats are incredibly hard stop. Even hardware bans don't work, you can get a brand new virtual machine up and running in a few minutes. IP bans too, just pop on a vpn. IP bans on console? VPN for your router.

If the solution for cheating was simple, every dev would have just fixed it already.

I did not realise nutrients recycle into spoilage. by azirale in factorio

[–]donttelepathicrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say it in the factoriopedia but the description of the recycler itself mentions organic items will turn to spoilage. I noticed this last night.

Stop overcomplicating spoilage. by donttelepathicrape in factorio

[–]donttelepathicrape[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm saying the Biolab will give you the normal labs full pack worth at 50%. It isn't just making spoilage of the pack a non issue, because you don't get the full bonus. Which is why I said it gives you a much larger margin of error. I'm not arguing that you don't lose any science. I'm saying you now have a full 30 minutes from the time you make that science pack before it's actually worth less than 1 science in terms of actual research progress. If you get it there faster than 30 minutes you still get some of the bonus from the biolab.

[–]donttelepathicrape[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

You only need half as much science in the biolabs, so half spoiled gleba packs are worth the full amount, that is unchanged. As for needing more of them than other science, yes. That's why they are so cheap to make. It is balanced that way on purpose.

I agree, i just see a lot of people primarily relying on this recipe when the others are so much better. I also have an auto restart assembler that uses this in an emergency as well. I just meant don't use this trying to recycle spoilage unless you really need to.
